  1.

I've actually never seen them cheaper than a balcony. They usually sell out before the prices of balconies drop that much.

Wow I must have gotten very lucky. We just booked 9200 on the Valor and it was $400.00 less than a balcony for 4.

Carnival had called the day before to see if we were ready to book yet and he quoted me a few balcony cabins. I told him to call me back the next day. I got on line hour before he was to call and did some looking and at the last min I thought that I would check out the ocean views. Imagine my surprise when I saw that a grand ocean view was available! Just than the phone rang. I told him what I just found and told him to grab it! Got the cabin I have been wanting for over 2 years and saved money to boot at the last min :)

  2. Folks, This thread is supposed to be specific to room 9201 on the Valor.

Sorry to have changed the subject. I thought that these 2 cabins where the same just on different sides of the ship.

How many people is 9201? 3?

I noticed that there are no shelves at the vanity, was this a problem? We use the shelves for a lot of our belongings and hope there is enough room in the closets.

  3. Here are some shots of the room, and some shots taken from the room.

Thank you for posting the pics of your room! I have been wanting to book these rooms for some time now and just booked 9200. We are taking our grandsons on this cruise and for one it will be his first while the others 2nd. Can't wait. Hope the DH doesn't miss his balcony to much.

This room was listed online when I checked and I grabbed it.

  4. For myself, I loved the comedy brunch (not for the comedy, but for the food) and am looking forward to the changes on our next 8 day cruise. I will have to try the pork chop for sure. Some people don’t want breakfast items for breakfast and want breakfast for lunch. The brunch gives everyone a chance to have whichever one they want when they want. I love the steak and eggs! They did change the name, most people over looked it because of the name it had. The banana cream pie is great also.

  5. This is 5th cruise and first time taking grandson and I need to know what papers we need to have with us from his parents if any. We are going on the Breeze to San Juan, St. Thomas, Grand Turk, & St. Maarten. We are getting a passport card and copy of birth certificate just in case. I want to sign him up for camp carnival but was unsure if I need to sign or his parents. It will only be the 3 of us, no parents on this trip. Do I need to get a statement from his parents giving us some kind of legal permission during this cruise?

If any of you have taken your grandchildren without their parents please advise me to anything I may need to know so we have no problems. He is so looking forward to this trip.

Thanks in advance for your help.

  6. I have been on 35 cruises...all out of florida except 1....found Premier for my last cruise...will use them everytime now. Very convenient and easy. Drive into the garage, right off the highway heading to the port. get your luggage loaded into a van...my wait to leave about ten minutes. Another 10 minutes to the ship. They unload right at luggage drop off, porter loads for ship, walk right in. Took me a few minutes to figure out where to go when I got back. Dropped off right at my car...I think less than half the cost at the port...more $$ for fun!

Thanks for the reply. I have read where others have said that there are several lots and not all work the same so DH decided that we are going to use the port parking this go round. The address that we were going to us is 811 NW 1st court Lot 58 Miami. Is this the same one that you use?

The other thing that has us concerned is that of the name. Reservation says Premier Parking Ventures thanks you. Email address is from info@premierparkingusa.com

  7. I am going on May 27th sailing on Carnival Victory booked a couple days ago. The cabanas are sold out. What are my chances that someone cancels their cabana booking? I'm traveling with 2 seniors with health issues. Villas are still available but we are only 4 people.

When we cruised last fall every time I checked online it showed that the cabanas where sold out. I decided to see if I could be put on a wait list as soon as I got on board. I went to the desk first to see and was told that they still had 2 to rent. So when you get on board check and see if any are open and good luck.

  8. We have reservations but have some concerns. When we read the time schedule for shuttle to the port the time says 12:00 – 3:00. Do they wait till 12:00 before they start shuttling people to the port? I would think that they would carry people to and from the port so that they can be moving people at the same time.

We have purchased faster to the fun and want to get on the ship as soon as we can. I have read that they start boarding the ship around 11:00am.

Any feedback will be appreciated. Is this a good lot to use?

We are scheduled for May 25th 2013 on the Liberty.

  9. Yes I have had one of the L-shaped balcomy cabins twice now. Once on the Liberty cabin #6481 and on the Victory cabin #6459 and I loved them both. The Liberty only had a chair in the cabin and it did not have a sofa. I did post pix of the #6481 when I came back. I tried to see if I could locate the thread where the pix are posted, however, the search engine was not working. I do have pix of the Victory cabin in my Victory review May 27th - June 3rd, 2012. The cabins were very similar except the beds were on the opposite walls from one another. I really enjoyed the shape and location of these cabins!! Any more questions just ask!!

Can you post pictures 0f liberty cabin 6481? We will be in 6450 in May and would love to see your pictures if you have any.

  10. All conquest class ships used to have them, but they were converted to balconys on all but the one ship.

I wish I could find pictures of the cabins that were converted. I wonder if they still have the floor-to-ceiling windows. I am looking at the Valor for the scenic ocean view cabins and thought that the Liberty and the Destiny were the same, but read that the Liberty was converted to balcony and can not find any info or pictures.

  11. Thanks for posting your review, I am really enjoying it. If you are like me and like to take pictures of storms I wanted to share a tip with you that I discovered by accident. If you have video on your camera, take a video of the storm to catch the lightning strikes. If your pc has the snipping tool you can play the video back and save pictures of the lightning strikes. It is amazing what you don’t see with the naked eye. I do this when I go to the beach. I have not seen a storm yet on a cruise.

I can’t wait to see your picks of HMC. We were just there on the 19th and fell in love with the island! We can’t wait to go back.
