  1. Hello MISTY MORNING ,

How are you liking the return to winter in Montreal ? A bit of of walk on the wild site with our road and sidewalk conditions !

I was hoping to get some info from you on the GOLF CART rentals at LES SAINTES that you mentioned.   I have found these 2  companies and wondered if you can recommend them.   Captheo 2 and Archipel Location - but neither of them have  the ability to book on line but rather by phone.

Thank you for your assistance. Suzanne

  2. Thank you Strenz and Milepig, this positions us to have realistic expectations, and putting the focus on

the goodffod, the service, and the extraordinary experience to be sailing and getting close to these remote locations.

Looking forward to the March 30th cruise from St.Maarten , last one before they head back TA to Europe.

    Suzanne

  3. Thank you Strenz - truly appreciated !

I will look for your review.

Did you have a BBQ on an island or is that another ship ( Spririt) ?

My friend and I have just about enough of the Montreal winter this year and

can not wait for the wind, the sea , the beaches  and the sails!

Too bad you were not on the same cruise ! 🙂

    Suzanne

  4. Thank you Strenz and Misty Morning - this was very helpful. We will stay at the Holland House and take advantage of the day pass before getting on the cruise 🚢 on March 30th.

Misty Morning - you just came off the Windsurf - How was it ? Accommodations, weather, dining,  and excursions ? Were the sails up? Will you write a review?

    Merci 😊

    Suzanne

  5. Hello Misty Morning ,

I am in the process of booking my flight from Montreal to  St.Maarten for the March 30th Wind Surf cruise. :-)

On April 9th , the return flight is at 2:55 . Based on your experience can you please tell me how long it takes to disembark and clear any customs when coming out of the ship scheduled for 6am.

Did you have any delays ? Did you  have plenty of time to get to the airport ?

We really do not want to stay another night but I was somewhat nervous to book before addressing this .

Thank you for your help. Suzanne

  6. I'm not sure what Gift Boutique you mean, but any alcohol bought at a gift shop not on the ship will not by the rules be allowed to be brought onboard except for the 2 bottles of wine at the embarkation port only. What happens in practice can and will vary. Any alcohol purchased in the onboard gift shop will be delivered to you at the end of the cruise and is not able to be consumed onboard. If you want a bottle of alcohol in your cabin it has to be purchased from the bar set-up service.

    Happy sailing,

    Jenna

    Hello Again Jenna,

I bought the bottles directly from Celebrity Cruises - I believe for consumption on board, as they consider them GIFTS. They also requested the date that we want them delivered in the stateroom. I will surely double check with their customer service - but this is the link.

Your thoughts are appreciated . Thank you Suzanne

  7. Hello again ailetoile , ( linen wing or star?) Fun name!

I read through your very detailed info on bringing wine on board ( we are on Celebrity Infinity - April 13 - Panama cruise.)

I just want to make sure this is OK .

I bought 5 bottles ( 4 wines, 1 vodka) from the Gift Boutique ( at decent prices) to be sent to our stateroom as we did not take a package for our 15 day cruise. MY QUESTIONS:Will I still be able to bring my 2 bottles on board upon arrival? And can we replenish at different ports or not ? I appreciate your knowledge coming from all that wonderful sailing experience. Suzanne

  8. Thanks for the info - Lucky you on the 40ft !

So, would you consider the Aranui again and how does it satisfy a sailor ?

Is the noise of the cargo disturbing , are the gaz fumes heavier than usual ? Are the Marqueses beaches mostly black sand ? Are they beautiful to swim and snorkle? I know the advertising is all positive ...but nothing is better than from the mouth of a real customer.

Thanks for your time and generosity in answering my questions. Bleu Azur

  9. Hello jegk1,

I am curious to know why , in all your sailing, you have not tried the Windspirit or Windstar ?

I loved it - its size, its ability to anchor close to small islands, its diversified crew and clientele. All in an informal matter .......and the actual sailing!

i am looking at going on Aranui 111 in 2013 and wondered if the experience might be similar .

Love to hear from you Bleu azur
