  1. We just returned yesterday to the US.  The Ship’s transfer package to Santiago was expensive and taxi was quoted around $140 as it is about 78 miles to Santiago.  We booked José Ramon Salgado at trips.sips.tips@gmail.com.

JAN. 13, 2019 - We did a wine tour on our way to the hotel and winery lunch.  He will design a custom itinerary for you, not sure if you drink wine, the wineries are beautiful.  Casa Marin is our favorite tour, after that you really don’t need additional wine tours of the operation. Tell him you don’t want any large group tours, to book private tastings. He is very reliable and will take care of you.   Send me a private message and I can answer any questions for you.

  2. Are you on the Dec. 20 sailing?

If so, I invite you to join us for our Ugly Holiday/ Christmas Sweater contest.  Lynne Castoldi

Date and Time will be determined once on the Quest so as not to interfere with other activities. Cocktails will be involved, a nice prize will be awarded.  Most likely we will gather in the Observation Bar on a Sea Day.

  3. This post is for all the adventure seekers out there who like to get their hands on as much information as possible. In this case, all things Seabourn Quest in Antarctica. Contemplating going? Already booked? Then here’s an additional resource to get a feel for what makes Seabourn’s Ultimate Antarctica and Patagonia itinerary so special.

There’s tons of information about the Seabourn Quest and sister Odyssey Class ships on the Internet with regard to standardized service, amenities, dining, suite features, entertainment, and activities. The focus here is to highlight all the things that make this particular voyage unique. I’ve scanned all the daily Heralds and dining guides and made sure to photograph all the included extras that are specific to this itinerary.

Info includes my observations and Seabourn provided info on:

    •
    • Antarctica Kayak Adventure

    • Zodiac and group landing processes

    • Strategically planning suite location and which month to go

    • Provided parka, beanie and backpack

    • Visitor guidelines to Antarctica

    • How to manage expectations

    • Other materials provided only after you board

Just my way to give back after reading so much on Cruise Critic!

Let Dimas plan a private trip for you in Semarang. He is very professional and knowledgeable about his city. We loved the day he planned for us and price is reasonable. BersukariaTour.com

  5. Just wiondering if there is cell service available in some of the ports in Alaska - Ketchikan, Juneau, Sitka? Sailing on September 21st SeaBourn Sojourn and need to set up a conference call in Ketchikan.

ATT is fine. Cell service very poor in Haines, although my signal showed 3 bars I could not successfully place a call. I was told by locals this is common when cruise ship and ferries in port at the same time.

  6. We have booked a cruise with HAL which includes calls into Tanjung Priok,Semarang, Probolinggo and Surabaya. Does anyone have any recommendations for tours and/or guides from any of these ports please. As yet HAL hasn't released much detail of their proposed excursions. Thanks

Book a private tour with Bersukaria Tour, they are top notch! We spent a day with them while in Semarang port on Seabourn. Contact Dimas at bersukariatour@gmail.com, they will take great care of you. Lynne

  7. My wife and I are considering a cruise on the Azamara Quest from Hong Kong to Singapore. There are several stops in Indonesia:

Balikpapan(Borneo),Indonesia; Palapo (Sulawesi), Indonesia; Komodo, Indonesia; Benoa, Bali, Indonesia; Semarang, Indonesia

Anyone stopped at these ports? Any suggestions of tours to take? I can't seem to find any info on CC. I have someone to visit in Bali, but I know very little about the other stops and any insights, suggestions, helpful links would be greatly appreciated.

Semarang - Organize a private tour with Bersukaria Tour, they have many options for you to choose.

bersukariatour@gmail.com I posted a review on TripAdvisor and there

is more information on their Facebook page.
