  1. We did this cruise in May last year It is a great way to see a different island each day. All the information I needed I found by visiting Ports of Call--Hawaii and also joining the Roll Call for NCL then clicking on POM and finding my date for the cruise. These sights gave me so much info. I also read the reviews posted by other passengers who had done the cruise. Just remember they are only their opinions so go on board with an open mind. Cruising an American ship is a lot different to P&O or Carnival. I will say it was a great trip with no sea days and a different port each day.The cruise gave us an insight into Hawaii and ideas for our next trip there. Our cabin was on deck 4 so I can't help you there but go on these other sites and you will find what you need to now.

  2. I did this shore excursion with DH and DS and friends in 2010. The island is a lovely place to snorkel or just relax on the beach. We had a buffet lunch with local dishes which was very tasty. While we were eating they put on a show. There was a little store there but it didn't open till later in the afternoon. You did need French Francs to buy anything. It was more of a place to buy souvenirs. There is a lighthouse you can climb near the pier You could also see turtles swimming nearby. I hope you enjoy your time on the island.

  3. We did the Xmas cruise on P & O in 2010 with friends. It was very enjoyable. Santa arrives on Xmas morning on Rudolph the Red Nosed Tender No. 9 He will then sit in the atrium area for the children to come and see him. If your kids are registered with any of the kids clubs they will receive a present from him. We registered are 17yo and 15yo with the teen club even though they never went but we made them go up and get a present from Santa anyway. For us it was a great way to celebrate Xmas a little differently than normal.

  4. cjdixon4-we enjoyed this cruise so much I have already decided we will be doing it again in May2015 for DH 55th birthday. This will give us a chance to do the things we couldn't afford to do this time like helicoptor flights in Hilo and Kauai. Just remember it is not your typical cruise with sea days, it is full on -exhausting but fun .

  5. WE tipped him $5 or it was $1 a bag. Definately quicker but it was hard finding a porter as they were short handed. The rep from the shuttle company went and grabbed one for us. I had read where some previous reviews that said how busy it was at certain times so was prepared for a long wait but it was very quick from the time we got to the docks till we were on board.

  6. We are just back from the May 11 sailing. We found we did not have to wait in any long lines when we arrived at the terminal. We were picked up after 11am at the Sheriton and met at the by a rep from the shuttle company who explained to us if we used a porter to collect our bags we could follow him and skip the long queues. One couple who were on the shuttle with us did not use a porter and we saw them in the line as we walked past them.We used a queue further down the pier and we were on the boat quicker than them. So glad we listened to this lady who helped get a porter for us and the other couples.
