  1. That looks so messy and tacky.

On Celebrity, if some one jusp plopped down a book and towel and walked off and did not return in about 30 minutes, they would remove the items and you could have the chair. Generally if someone used the chair for a period of time then left to get something to eat or go in pool, if they didn't stay too long, then they could keek chair.

  2. Thanks so VERY, VERY much for your sharing your TA cruise. Wish you were cruising with us on May 10 trans canal. Enjoyed comments , positive and not-so-positive. Maybe NCL will look, but I doubt it. Cruising is about the friends you meet, and the friendly staff you want to come back to and completement.

  3. Thanks! Can’t imagine that the smoking crowd will be happy squeezed into just that small section.

Wonder how quickly the walls will come down and smoking will be allowed in the whole casino when Casino profits are low compared to the other ships.

Most higher end cruise lines, like Celebrity (and I think Mother Royal Carabbean) , have NO smoking in the Casino. I was a 40 year smoker and quit 20 years ago and am suffering for it, aka COPD I understand that more Europeans and Asians smoke than US residents but NCL needs to catch up with the times.

  4. Dancing with headphones on. Music of your choice plays through the headphones.

This is GREAT. Celebrity had it on Equinox and we participated on two cruises last year. We are participants (77 and 66) but it is fun watching other people dance with headsets and you can not hear the music. There are 3 channels of music so you do not know what people are dancing to except that the head sets show a different color for each channel.

  5. We are booked on the inaugrial sailing from Miami to LA and have been watching the building of the Bliss since early on. As a retired engineer, this is a great experience. I am anticipating the "float out" on Saturday and hope to be watching on Meyer Werft's webcam or Youtube, even at 2:00 AM . We will be watching the weather but will look forward to the event. I have been looking the websites and nothing is live. Has anyone else checked the site for float out time? I don't want to get up at 2 AM and it has been postponed.:cool:

  6. Hi all. We just started looking at the Bliss sailing in May throught the Canal. I have not read all the postings but I have a couple of concerns. Our last NCL was Escape last Oct. and we were VERY disappointed. The nickle and dimed (dollared) us. We had a mid ship balcony mini suite and the only difference between a normal balcony was the length. The extra space was in the bathroom, which was nice, but not paying extra for. (We had a deal?)

I would think NCL would put out the red carpet for this inaugrial sailing of the Bliss. The BIG concerns are "will the ship be ready?, Will the shake down cruise to Miami find all the squeaks and creaks?"

    What are the CC thoughts?
