We originally booked for May 11 and after receiving the confirmation saw that this cruise  date was for 2 nights in St George/1 night in Hamilton so we changed to the May 4 cruise with 2 nights in Hamilton/1night in St George.

May 11 goes to St George first and then Hamilton, the only one doing it in that order.

There is no easy way on Royal's site to see itineraries.  You are better off going on a TA site.

Royal's site is most likely written by the same idiots who did the software for 747 Max.

MDR  certainly you realize how good or bad the food is depends on each individual's taste. Though we do not eat often in the MDRs I would not say the food is bad. Our problem is more the service, but the food is pretty much what one would expect now days. Not to mention there are many places to eat on the ship that do not require paying extra. I am a believer in each person deciding for themselves what is the best way to spend their money.  For some it is specialty dining, some the spa, some excursions and others do not spend anything extra and still have a good cruise.

So I reckon you understand many do not share your opinion the MDR food is not bad.

The day of the cruise?  Would you chance a 4 or 5 hr ride in late summer?  Considering options. TIA

The longest I did was 4 hours.

Start early and have a reliable car and an alternative route planned and you should be fine.

  4. Last names don't matter at all legally, it is the fact you are traveling without the other parent who may or may not share custody, so you may have to prove your sole custody or the other parent's consent.

If last name by itself decided legal rights a stranger who happens to have the same name would have more rights than a parent who doesn't.  You see how stupid how that would be?

That said my kids take my last name instead of my husband's so if by any chance should an idiotic officer decide matching last name should be the determining factor I wouldn't have to worry about it.

  5. The name itself isn't important legally, otherwise a stranger who happens to have the same last name would have more rights than you.  Technically you will need a letter from the other parent even if you have the same name, or you can prove you have sole custody.  But normally they don't scrutinize unless they have a reason to.
