  1. These are somwhat better, but, and it's only a medium "but" they are "in-hull" (or what Cunard call protected) balconies.

Basically they have are a large hole cut out of teh metal of the hull.

The views when standing at the rail will be unrestricted but will be like looking out of an ocean view cabin window (without any glass in it) when seated.

i've copied one of cruistrail's photos across for you to see

Skier52- you are extremely knowledgeable, I am impressed!! You are a great wealth of knowledge to us newbies.

With that said, I asked a question on another thread about MSC Divina yacht club #16015 vs 16013 vs 16033- looking for exact sq footage of cabin & balcony...if you have the info that would be great...thanks :):)

  2. Having sailed in the YC twice with #3, 4, and 5 upcoming, I can answer a couple of your questions...

The largest cabins by far are the 'square' cabins...there are four on the 15th deck and 4 on the 16th deck unless you are lucky enough to score a YC3. We have stayed in 15028 twice with our third time coming up in three weeks and I can tell you most definitely they are much bigger than the other YC1's, and are the same price. However, sometimes you can only obtain them if you have 3 or 4 passengers. I've heard it is hard to come by with only two. (We are a three person family so no problem getting one.) Concierge is only on the 15th deck. You can definitely take your drinks you obtain from the Top Sail Lounge or the One Bar anywhere on the ship. I simply went back upstairs if I needed a refill if I was in another part of the ship...no problem whatsoever. It is generally frowned upon to bring others to your room that are not in YC. I've not done it, but I know others have. If they are 'caught', they are asked to leave. You might want to ask the concierge about this. I have heard you can purchase a day pass for your friends but don't know if this is true. I'm pretty sure the three cabins you are inquiring about are the same size. You will love Yacht Club. We are counting the days!

    Excellent info thanks Kathie!!

Still want to know if anyone has the exaca dimensions of cabin 16015 ( & and/or 16009 & 16013)

  3. So I just booked Cabin #16015 (Yacht club) on the MSC Divina. The only other rooms available are 16009 & 16013

    Questions:

    1) Does anyone have the exact dimensions of each of these rooms above, 16015, 16009, 16013 & the balcony size ? Comparing them to other balcony rooms, they seem pretty similar in size, not much bigger

    2) 16th floor- is there a concierge on the floor -looks like they are mostly on the 15th from what I can see-.I have always "snuck" glasses of wine from my cabin into the bars & restaurants on other cruises & would like to know if this is possible to do from the yacht club? Is there only one place to get a drink? If I take a glass of wine to my 16th floor cabin & then take the elvator on the 16th floor would I be questioned?

    3) We have friends on the cruise that will not be in the yacht club, can we invite them to our room?

4)Looks like some cabins are the same price YC1 on the 16th floor however look bigger ( not including the categy YC3)- are there some a lot bigger ( other than wheelchair) for the same price?

    Thanks!
