Has the self-service laundry on deck 7 been removed?

No, it’s still there but only 4 washers and 4 dryers are a bit of a stretch for the entire ship…. Gets a bit competitive in there at times.

Does the Regatta still have a place to leave books for others in the library? I'm boarding on Saturday and wondered if I could leave my finished ones and pick up another one. Thanks!

Yes.  Library on 10 Aft… there’s a desk to leave books and they file them on an exchange cabinet.

  3. Did you go on your HAL trip?   I hope you had a great time.

What excursions did you take in the South Pacific (and did you enjoy them)?  What would you have done differently

We have an Oceania 42 day Sydney to Los Angeles in March 2024...and hope to learn from those that have recently gone...thanks in advance.

  4. Hi,

This is Doug and Kate from Arizona.  We are doing this sailing as part of a B2B (coming over on the TA from Fort Lauderdale).  Seems the Normandy tour from Le Havre is sold out.  Looking for anyone that is putting together a private trip that needs two more.  Let me know.  Also if you have done a private tour from Le Havre who did you use and if you recommend them.  Thanks.

We have cruised twice since October 21, 2021 with Celebrity and appreciate their efforts in keeping us safe....of course the weak link is the other passengers who don't consistently follow the rules regarding masks..  deep sigh.

You will love the Nile... how long is your sailing??  Are you doing a 3, 4 or 7 night cruise?

    Fran,

Have you sailed the Nile?  This who?  what side of the ship is better to be on?  What would you have done differently?

We are looking at either Vantage or Viking for Oct 2022 and adding both a pre and post trip (Jerusalem and Petra)....total trip is 25 days with Vantage...I think it's shorter than and might only have one....

I travel alone, and have had that happen to me. First night, ate by myself at a table for 6. No big deal, first night often has people either getting a specialty discount, or busy unpacking. Second night, formal night (pre-evening chic), all dressed up, and still alone at my table for 6. The people at the nearby tables were very nice, encouraging me to join them (even though there were no spare seats - they would have scooted over). The waiter was amazingly attentive. Before my entree got there, the maitre d' was at my table asking me if I wanted to relocate for the rest of the cruise. I did, and ended up at one of the best tables I've ever had on a cruise.

I do traditional, because I like to sit with people and get to know them over the course of a cruise. Other than the experience above, I only had to request a table change one time. Rectangular table of 10 - two family groups at either end (not interested in talking to others) and me in the middle across the table from two Russian girls, who seemed nice, but didn't appear to speak a word of English.

Feel free to join us.  We like meeting new people.

We've been very lucky with the Select your own time dining.  We ended up in the same section, with the same wait team and same group of folks every night for 15 days.....we may have shifted tables (2-10 seats) but eventually got to know a real nice bunch of folks.  It helped that we tended to get to the table at the same time each night....not sure with having choices on this ship how that will work but looking forward to the cruise...
