I was on the Gem last week and one night my husband and I were dining in the Grand Pacific diningroom and was very surprised to see a couple probably in their 60’s pass by our table after dining and they were both in their swimsuits!

Where can I make dinner reservations as soon as I Board  the ship?

My husband and I were on the Dawn 8/31 and were also bothered by the cigarette smoke. In previous cruises on the Dawn we spent alot of evenings in Gatsbys. This cruise we couldn’t enjoy it at all as the smoke was so bad . We could even smell it when passing by the area on deck 6.

The first week of July I purchased a book of tickets in Hamilton at the ferry dock and it was cash only.

According to the Boston Globe a 19 year old girl was airlifted off the ship Friday night at 8:30 pm with what they think was appendicitis.

I was in Bermuda last week and purchased a book of transportation tickets at the visitors center at the ferry dock in Hamilton and they only took cash.

The current promotion is continuing through July.

What time is the morning excursion? We will be docked in Hamilton so that will be very convenient. What is the cost for adults? On one website it was $55 and another website it was $65. I just want to make sure I book the right one. Thanks!

We are thinking of doing the Reef Explorer snorkeling in a couple of weeks. Did the boat drop you in 3 ft of water as they advertise? Also did you book ahead online or when you arrived in Bermuda? Thanks a lot for the information!

So could two people use the same ticket book? We always by a 2 day pass but with the increase I think we'd be better off buying the ticket book as we don't use the buses and ferries very much.

Thank you for the review! I have not cruised on Holland America before but I'm considering a trip to Bermuda on her. I noticed on the cabin size beds when doing a mock booking the beds are listed as queen. Are the beds actually queen size or are they twins that can be converted to queens? Also, are the formal nights when the ship is out to sea or when it's docked in Bermuda?

It was just reported on the Boston news channel 5 that the ship ran aground and no injuries were reported.

You buy them from the shore excursion desk but it's not a shore excursion just the transportation passes.

The price is the same as buying them on the pier. They did not have the three day passes only one and two day.

I purchased transportation passes on the Dawn last July.

I was on the Dawn a few weeks ago and security opened my suitcase and removed my travel iron. They put a note in my suitcase stating I could pick up my iron on the last day of the cruise at guest services. I use zip ties to lock my luggage.
