  1. I rang for OBC for our Explorer of the seas cruise in April, it was AUD 140 for US100, I got 500US for $700, they send an email to verify, you can keep adding to it up until 4 days out from your cruise. I did this last week and friends did it today at the same rate.

yes i rang today as well inquiring about the rate to buy some OBC, they also said i could get the charges on my sea pass when paying by credit card in Australian dollars, just deciding which way to go.

  6. Hi was just wondering, while Explorer of the seas was cruising in Australia, are they stocking more Australian beers on the ship, we are looking at the select drink package mainly for the beer, has any one purchased that package, if so could you tell me what beers are included in that package. Thanks in advance for your help.

Freestyle Coke Machines in Windjammer Cafe

    IMG_6291_zps3ukxwvrt.jpg

There are 7 freestyle coke machines I know of on the ship. Two are located in the Royal Promenade next to the Café Promenade. Four in the Windjammer Café (two on each side). And the final one is in Optix on deck 12. Most flavours and ice frequently run out during the cruise so it can be annoying. The starboard side machines in the Windjammer appear to be less frequently used than the port side.

Hi, to get a soft drink when you have the package do you need to carry the cup around with you every where to get a soft drink

  8. Your parents may find something like the HoHo service a good way of getting around all the main highlights. When you get here, you'll see that operating a double decker bus service would be particularly challenging in Wellington's tight downtown area! As it's a popular option on cruise days, booking in advance is a good idea. 17& 18 Nov are double dcruise ship days in Wellington so pre-booking is a very good idea for any particular tour.

If you have full mobility, the easiest thing to do is walk. From the Embassy Theatre in Courtenay Place at the south end of the downtown to the Parliament Buildings at the other end through the downtown shopping and business district will take less than 30 minutes if you're of average fitness - and don't stop! Take a shuttle to downtown Lambton Quay or the i-SITE, about 20 minutes walk from the cruise terminal, and then Te Papa, the Cable Car, the Botanic Gardens, Carter Observatory and then the Parliament precinct and Old St Paul's all lie north in the direction back to the cruise terminal.

Things to do will depend on your interests, but film tours, food tours, Te Papa, and Zealandia nature area are all popular excursions. You can get a lot more ideas at WellingtonNZ.com.

If i got off the cruise ship, which way do i start to walk if i want to see Te papa and the cable car, Thank you for your help

  9. I get on her in a few hours for the 10 day trip to Sydney. I'll post back with my thoughts on food from the MDR and Pantry. And other restaurants, but as long as I'm not cooking I'm not that picky :). Unless it's inedible.

Shall also give thoughts on rest of ship and how things are running onboard after her trial yesterday and last night with the lucky few.

I would love to know, how did you go getting seats at the pantry, and would it also be possible for you to post a picture off the beer and cocktail menu, so i can see what the selection and prices are, did they offer drinks packages. Thank you in advance hope you are having a great time.
