  1. We are cruising on the Adventure of the Seas next month.

My husband & I are Diamond and are in Jr suite. We got an email that we can check in after 12:30

However, we are cruising with my sister and 2 cousins who are in another room. Thier check in is not til 2. My agent said that they should be able to check in with us. Does anyone know if that is correct? We have never had to worry about that before.

  2. It has been a long time since I have booked my air through the cruise line

My question is will we claim our bags before we pick up RCCL transportation or will they be transported direct to the ship from the airport. Seems like a long time ago that is what I remember happening.

  3. Has anyone had any issues brining on a 4 cup coffee maker, and coffee on RCCL ship? We are in a balcony cabin on a 7 day cruise, we've had suites with coffee makers like the convenience.

It is crazy as others have pointed out. However I think ship coffee is nasty. It would be nice to have a good cup of coffee

  4. I just purchased this package for our cruise in April. We drink a lot of water, and always go through a bottle of Pellegrino at dinner. I figure between water and specialty coffee, the package will be worthwhile for us.

The water u wil get is Crystal Geyser. I was kind of disappointed because I drink a lot of water and I. Thought it would include the water in the room. But you have to get it at a bar

  5. I'm curious, as a newbie, is there any kind of process for addressing these issues mid-cruise? If I were staying at a resort and not getting good service, I would bring it up with a manager. Is this somehow poor etiquette while cruising? I see that there are post cruise surveys but what about while you are being poorly served? Does being seen as a complainer lead to even worse service? Just trying to figure out how it all works.

I am a Diamond cruiser I do not usually complain. I was just very disappointed because I have. Always have exceptional service on RCCL

  6. Just off of the Adventure OTS. I was really looking forward to it as so many on Cruise Critic have talked about how much they like the ship. Our waiter was wonderful as was our room steward. However, service at the pool and the solarium was terrible. If you wanted a drink you had to wait a long time for someone to come along to take an order and then you had to get their attention. Used glasses and dishes sat around on deck for long periods of time before someone bothered to pick them up. Deck 4 was cluttered all day with glasses and dishes. It is OK that they are concentrating smokers into basically 2 areas but they need to empty the ashtrays more often. The ashtrays were left so full it was a fire hazard. In the Windjammer we were rarely asked if we wanted drinks or if we needed anything. Drink stations would be out of water and you'd have to go searching for another drink station. Various food items would run out and they would not replenish them for awhile again forcing us to go look elsewhere. It was just not the standard I am used to. I'm wondering if Royal Caribbean is cutting staff to the point it is showing up in their service...or lack thereof.

I agree100%. We love Royal but I was very disappointed. We met people on the ship that have cruised on the Adventure numerous times and loved the Adventure.

I wrote a review on cc. The only place we got super service was in the dining room. Our cabin steward was okay but I have had much much better.

I intend to write a letter to Royal.

  7. You can rent them a lot further out than 90 days. They were available as soon as the RCI excursions were open. We're at ~85 days now and we've had ours booked for a while... in fact, we booked ours before they raised the rates.

If you wait until 90 days out, I'm guessing you're going to be out of luck.

That is great When I booked they wouldn't allow it til 90 days.

  8. We were on that cruise too.. We also rented a cabana. You can rent them 90 days out. Don't wait too long because there aren't that many. We paid $250. You get a special ride to the cabana and eat lunch in a special area.

You will also have your own person who will take care of you all day. A cooler and towels are provided in the cabana so you do not have to take towels or water.

You will love it. (There were 5 of us)
