Most who claim this have never sailed on the class of ships.  The Vista class are currently our favorite, followed by the Spirit class. We have found the Vista class no more crowded than any other class of ships.

WE have cruised on the Vista and twice on the Horizon.  I did not feel overcrowded.  Of course the main pool is crowded but we hang out at the serenity deck and on the Horizon we had Havana inside.  The Lido deck buffet is crowded at normal lunch time.  Just plan on earlier or later.  But with the Seaday Brunch there is no problem with crowding.  If you just want a quiet place to read or enjoy a drink, most of the ship has quiet areas no problem

They would enjoy it, then. But now I am back to the four people in one room issue. Teen girls - yikes!! 🙂

I just cruised with 4 in the balcony room.  It was on the Pride and cruising were I, my daughter and son in law and my 17 year old granddaughter.  IMO we had plenty of room both cupboards and drawers.  I was on the sleeper sofa and my granddaughter was in the upper bed.  No problems.

  3. Called NCL and was able to upgrade from Sailaway Balcony to Guaranteed Balcony for $280 total each and received the 4 FAS offers.  Free drinks, 3 specialty meals, $50 per cabin on shore excursions and free wifi.

Actually that $280 additional each included all the gratuities on the drinks and dining.  So for a total of less that $560  for both of us we will both get free drinks, 3 specialty dining meals, wifi, and a $50 credit per stateroom for excursions.  Since we are heading to ports that are not the most stable we will be booking excursions through NCL.  We both are moderate drinkers and enjoy cocktails and wine.

  4. My husband has terminal cancer and is currently feeling good,  We have a cruise in about 5 weeks going to the Caribbean and he really wants to go but is afraid of not being able to get a hold of his doctors here at home in case of a problem.  WE really should not have a problem because he is ok but he would just like to know he can get a hold of them  How is the ships phone service to call the US. I remember seeing in the cabin directions for calling home.  Any help would be so appreciated.

  5. Am Allstate customer.   E-cards were offered a couple of weeks ago and then disappeared. Final Payment is April 15 for our June cruise and am hoping they will be available before then.   Probably would have enough time to order in mail but if something should happen and I would not receive them in time.  I would be holding a couple thousand $$ in Carnival Gift Cards.  Too much money tied up.  So I will wait to see if E-cards come out soon.

  6. I am so sorry as I know this has been asked so many times before. This is the first time that the question is pertinent to me. I am DIamond and traveling without my DIamond husband in April. An old friend is traveling with me and it is her first cruise. Can we do priority check in and boarding together. Thank you.

  7. Been cruising with Carnival since 2004. Next cruise October 21 will be our 40th Carnival cruise. Have used the same PVP since our first cruise in 2004. She has been with Carnival since 1999. Love her and she is always available for us to help or answer questions. Even after all these cruises, things do come up and we need information or help.

  8. Just a thought on pricing of liquor onboard and at a liquor store at home. I always buy Crown Royal whiskey onboard. I can get 2 - 1 liter bottles for about $33.00. At home on sale it is $24.00 for a 750 ml bottle. So I am getting much more for less. Also you can only get the Sheridan Liquor onboard. I don't think it is available in the US. Pus the Bicardi flavored rum is a few dollars cheaper onboard than at home,

  9. I never get the best casino offers if I have a cruise booked, so I just wait until I get a great deal to book. Those great deals have kept me cruising more often than I otherwise would the past couple years. So not having a cruise booked may bring you a better casino deal. At least that's been my experience. Those great deals also make it more affordable to cruise solo. So don't stay home just because you don't have someone who can go!

That's what I am hoping. I've always gotten Premier Casino Offers even when I already have a cruise booked. The offers were decent, discounted cabin and cash. Hopefully I will get something better soon since I have nothing booked. Waiting patiently. One just expired last month and I didn't book so waiting for the next one.

  10. Gosh, can't remember when I had no cruises booked. Just completed my 35th Carnival Cruise and now nothing. DH is not interested in cruising anymore. But hopefully I will get one of my adult kids cruising with me. I have been cruising with the Premier Casino Cruise Deals for the last few cruises and am waiting for more offers. Who else doesn't have a cruise booked. Isn't it tramatic.

  11. We also have been using Travel Guard for years and never had to file a claim.

Thanks for all the well wishes. We will know more tomorrow or Tuesday. Our cruise leaves Saturday out of Miami (Breeze). Hopefully we will be on it but my DH's health is more important.

I always know I can get information from my Cruise Critic family. Thanks again.
