We got off the Vista last Sunday and had a Havana Cabana. It was wonderful. We spent everyday at the pool-very quiet. We never had an issue getting a chair or sun bed. One day we went to the main pool are to get some tacos and we couldn't get out of there fast enough. It was crazy busy and oh so loud . We were happy to head back to our quiet little corner of the world!

I don't get all the hype either!

We just got off the VISTA on Sunday and stayed in Havana. You just need to wear the wristband when you go into the Havana Pool area (prior to 7:00 pm). Yes, they strictly enforce it.

Thank you for a most entertaining review. I thoroughly enjoyed your sense of humor. We will be taking our first ever Carnival cruise next January....after 30 + cruises divided among Royal Caribbean, Norwegian, and Holland America. You have given me encouragement that good things are in store! Thank you!

If you are looking for a quiet spot to relax or read during the day, head to the Waterfront-port side. There are a lot of chairs/couches. When we were on in December, there were usually only a handful of people there taking a quick nap or reading....nice quiet spot.

NCL has Dress up or Not nights-it is your choice. You truly do see a little bit of everything and everyone is comfortable with that. If your children enjoy getting dressed up then by all means bring those fancy clothes and enjoy! That's the beauty of NCL...no pressure 😀

We were on the same sailing and also at the Mojito Bar every night. I have to agree that it doesn't seem as though Bayamo and Pinchos are very popular spots.
Â
Mojito Bar however....the best thanks to our favorite bartender, Bong!

Thanks Pambo. I hope you are talking about NFL football and not college?
Â
Yes, we watched the Steelers/Bengals game and I noticed that there were other NFL games on throughout the day.
-
Supper Club was 90 minutes....Million Dollar Quartet was about 75....hope this helps.
-
We were on the Dec 12 sailing of the Escape. We watched football in the District Brew House. It was also being shown on the televisions in the cabins, and on the big screen at Spice H2O.
Â
Enjoy your cruise!

My husband and I were also on the December 12 sailing. We have to agree that the entertainment is 5 star! We totally enjoyed all three of the major production shows. Off the Record was my absolute favorite and my husbands was After Midnight.
Â
Regarding Food Republic....yes it is a MUST! We ate there three times during the week - twice for lunch and once for dinner. We never made a reservation and never had an issue getting a table right away. Give it a try - you won't regret it. Pork belly and scallion potstickers...yum!
Â
OK - back to the OP's review....just had to add my 2 cents.
Â
Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!

We just got off the Escape on Saturday and were in a similar situation as you regarding the Bistro reservations. As others have said, they keep a few reservations open to book while on board. I have the NCl iConcierge app and was able to book the reservations as soon as we got on the ship....did not have to go to the reservation desk and wait in line. We were also able to book entertainment like that. Just download the app to your phone beforehand and then you activate once you board the ship...very easy and quite convenient.

We were on the Dec 12 sailing.....every time we walked by, it was pretty empty...didn't seem like a very popular spot.
-
Margaritaville appeared to be dead on the Dec 12 sailing. I walked by a number of times and the majority of the time it was either empty or closed. They had some really good tunes (live band) the one time I walked by and only 6 people in there. It seemed like a real waste. The only time it looked somewhat busy was for breakfast (I think they do free breakfast but we never tried it.)
Â
Agree....we were also on the Dec 12 sailing....never looked busy in there at all.

Thanks so much for the replies.
Â
I really thought the outdoor restaurant seating would be in high demand. Ocean front tables are usually the prime seating in a restaurant.
Â
Â
Thanks also for the tips at getting comedy show reservations,
I can already imagine the lines to get onboard. I definitely didn't want to start my cruise off by then having to stand in line to make show reservations.
Â
If you download the iConcierge app to your phone, you can make all reservations directly from your phone once you are onboard.

Happy to see such a positive review of the Spirit. Sounds like you had a wonderful time!
-
What a fantastic video. Thank you for sharing! You two are the best!

Have you notified the Access/ Special Needs Desk? Email AccessDesk@ncl.com, giving them your cruise information and they will notify the Food and Beverage Director of The Breakaway of your needs. You may want to met with him and the Restaurant Manager once you board.
Â
I agree that this would be your best course of action. I have dealt with the Access Desk on many occasions for other issues and they are wonderful. I'm sure all will go smoothly for you....enjoy your cruise!

Another vote here for Maya Chan...by far our favorite port day! We have been several times...you won't regret it!
-
I have to agree with so many others...just not enough time to fully enjoy all that the Magic Kingdom has to offer. You are better off waiting a few years and planning a Disney vacation.
-
What a great review and video. Thank you so much for sharing!
-
We have also done the full transit and highly recommend it!
-
When we sailed in April, we waited to book until we got on the ship. We did this immediately upon boarding and there were plenty of time options available.
Â
We did this based on the recommendations of others here on the boards who shared their experiences of the hassle of getting reimbursed. It worked out very well...no worries.
Â
Enjoy!

'We have done this cooking class twice. It is a wonderful experience that I highly recommend. Josefina taught my husband to make the best margaritas - enjoyed by so many! Check it out. You won't be disappointed.
