  1. TJ TRAVEL

My husband and I had very good luck using TJ Travel in St. Petersburg this past summer. We were there on a small group tour for 3 days and were taken care of very well by Victoria, our knowledgeable guide who spoke perfect English. One reason I selected this tour company is because they said my husband could use a wheel chair if he got too exhausted, as he has mobility problems at times. Victoria was going to get him the wheel chair, but he ended up not wanting one and did almost all of the tours with us. We saw so much in the 3 days and were very happy. Exceptions were made for 2 group members who were not on the cruise with us and we dropped them off at a location near their hotel. I definitely recommend TJ Travel.

  2. Does anyone know if there is a way my husband and I could see some of Stockholm after Oceania Marina ship arrival on July 9 at 7:00 am and flight departure at 4:35 pm? Of course, we need to consider storing our luggage while sightseeing. We would consider a shared or private tour and shuttle if pier pickup and airport were combined. Thanks for any input.

  3. I have been reading many comments on this thread about a transfer from Copenhagen airport to the ship. Danish Viking, Am I to understand correctly that my husband and I should not have trouble finding a taxi to get to oceankaj terminal 3 on June 29? We arrive at 3:40 pm and presume we won't have any time to see highlights of Copenhagen before our 9:00 ship Marina departure. Do you agree? Is there anyway we could see some of the city after taking luggage to the ship?

    Thanks for your help!!

The taxi is of course the easiest way but else you have 2 other options.

Take the metro to Nørreport from Kongens Nytorv and catch bus 25 from there.

    Or

Take bus 26 from Kongens Nytorv to Østerport and catch bus 25 or 27 from there.

Remember to not use the first bus stop at Østerport but the second one.

  5. We are going on a Baltic cruise June 29 on Oceania Marina. We will be in St. Petersburg 3 days. I was told that I would not be allowed to board the ship in Copenhagen if I have not already booked a ship excursion, as we don't have a visa. Is this correct? Do I have to book an expensive ship excursion for each of the 3 days or can I book another tour company? If so, what do you recommend for tour companies that are reliable?

  6. We walked Fira to Oia. There is probably less uphill this way. We managed to get on the first tender and caught the cable car (maybe 5 - 10 min wait). We were 2nd ship in. In Fira about 10. when we reached Oia had lunch and a wander around and then caught the public bus back to Fira(Taxi's also available). We were in port 9 till 6. It is a lovely walk but gets very hot climbing the last hill before decending into Oia.

What did you mean when you said "in Fira about 10"? Is it easy to find a bus back and do the bus drivers speak English? Cost? My spouse has some trouble walking - is it far from Fira to Ola?

    Thanks for your info.
