Getting charged a cancellation fee for a cruise cancelled by the cruise line? Would be the very last time I used that TA.
This would be my thinking as well.

But let's expect the worst and complain on Cruise Critic before we even know what they plan to actually do. Geez. I think I would wait to see what happened first.
Perhaps they are saying that they need to check the circumstance of every cancelled cruise to see where it stands. Case in point - there are a considerable number of people who cancelled cruises before Celebrity did due to Corona Virus concerns (not the OP apparently, but many), and then are coming on Cruise Critic whining and moaning that they are not getting the same benefits as those who waited for Celebrity to cancel. Difficult situation I admit, but in those situations they made that choice and therefore were subject to the terms and conditions. Perhaps the TA wants to charge those people cancellation fees, which is well within their rights to do so, and IMHO ethically appropriate.
ps. I am not a TA, nor do I know any personally, and honestly have not been overly thrilled with my service this past year, but fair is fair.
Why should she be charged a cancellation fee at all? It seems she is perfectly willing to go on the cruise but is unable to do so because the cruise line has cancelled it. TWICE, if I’m understanding correctly as it was a lift and shift. It’s totally out of her control. So why should she pay $200 and have received nothing but 2 cancellations? How exactly is that ethically appropriate? How is that fair?

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed reading all of your instalments. 😜 I wish you’d just throw random short ones out there for us to drool over until you get home. One short one a day isn’t too much to ask for! Everyone who agrees, put your hand up! 🙋🏻♀️
As for the Irish/British Isles bit.. I agree. I’m in Canada and the majority of my heritage is from the Emerald Isle and I have never heard it being referred to as part of the British Isles.. not even remotely close. But obviously somebody at Celebrity is not so well informed. Use your comment card and perhaps next years transatlantic will include some delicious Irish fare. Looking forward to reading you soon Lady Eloise!

This was fantastic to read. I always enjoy hearing/reading other people takes on the cruises from start to finish.. what they loved and didn’t love. what they were most impressed with etc... You should have added pictures as you went along! Thank you for taking the time to do this. [emoji846]

Does anybody know if the price of the beverage package bought pre-cruise from the Celebrity website would be any different from the beverage package bought once onboard? Could waiting and buying onboard be less expensive?

Did you get the 30% discount that is being offered on cruises departing by the end of 2016? You must book my the end of August?
Of course you will not get the discount on any upgrade on board.
What discount is this? When I checked the prices on the Celebrity website, they reflect the normal regular prices without a discount... do you have to call? Where did you see/hear about this discount? Thanks!

Unfortunately we do not have any free package :( looking at adding one.. maybe lol do you know anything about the Standard Beverage Package that is on the Celebrity site
I too was questioning this package as I don't have a beverage package either but was considering adding one. This is what I found on the Celebrity website but was unable to find a detailed version like the one offered for the Classic and Premium packages. I wonder if specialty coffees are included. Hope this helps!
Choose select beers and wines, spirits, cocktails, liquors and frozen drinks up to $6 per serving. Brand availability varies by bar location, but includes a variety of well branded spirits, popular wines and beers, fountain sodas, and bottled water. Plus, with purchase of this Standard Package, you can enjoy a 10% discount on all wines by the bottle purchased on board, even our prized Reserve Wine list and Rare Wine list.
Spain Day Tours??

We recently did a tour with Spain Day Tours while in Alicante and I can’t say how pleased we were at the end of the day! Communication with Emilia when we booked was simple and very friendly. Our guide was fabulous… knowledgeable and very patient. I wouldn’t hesitate in using them again for our future tours while in Spain!
