  1. We just got off the Breakaway and had room 10864.  The room is very big but the balcony is the smallest we have ever had.  The food was great in the free dinning rooms.  No need to buy the package.  The shows are OK but not the best we have ever seen.  We found the staff to be very friendly.  I would definitely take this cruise again.  We loved it.

  2. Go to Tripadvisor. Look up restaurants by city. You will get a long list but on the left hand side are all types of options...one of them being gluten free. I like using this as I can read reviews but also on many of the restaurants websites you can see the menu. I have found a lot state they have gluten free options when they offer dinner salads. A salad is fine once in awhile but not all the time. This is a good way of narrowing down choices. You can also opt to get list closest to where you are staying.

Thanks Chris. I will look up on Tripadvisor. I have Celiac Disease and I agree I don’t want just salad for dinner.

  3. GUT2407....I have found that all ready. We were on the Jewel once and really liked it. I would, also, miss my family. I have a bad back and my husband just had a knee replacement. We are not looking forward to the long flight from Boston but there is no other way to get there and my doctor gave us sleeping pills which we do plan on taking. We also like road trips and have gone all over the U.S. It is a great way to see the country. Take care and thanks again.

  4. Ken Greco. We were on a trip to Caracas and saw 2 young teenage girls get left behind. The ship told us that the traffic was terrible there and for whatever reason the parents let these 2 young girls go alone into town. The ship left and another boat tried to get them onto the ship but the wake was too bad and it had to turn back. I never heard what happened to the girls but I couldn't believe it when we all stood on the deck watching it leave them there.

  5. My pleasure!

No you will not have a problem finding gluten free food. So many people here are gluten free it's a massive trend at the moment! There may be a small surcharge of $1 at some restaurants for gluten free bread or pancakes etc but everywhere you go will have gluten free options available.

Didn't realise you were staying for a whole week! Where are you staying? I can recommend some more restaurants / cafes / breakfast spots or just general attractions if you like.

Surely you will also want to explore on your own and find some places though so I won't go overboard haha.

    Hi Braliza:

We are staying at the Rendezvous Hotel Sydney at the Rocks. You are definitely not going overboard. I would much rather have good information from locals. I don't do fast foods at home so I definitely won't be doing them there.

Are there that many people with Celiac Disease or do they just choose to eat GF? It is so reassuring to know that I won't have a problem eating.

Thank you again for all/any information. I can't wait to get there. Although I'm not looking forward to the 22 hour flight :)
