    Also (due to same printer issues), my printed luggage tags are legible but not in full color; would this be a problem? I miss the days of mailed docs. 🙂 

    In January, we could not access the internet and therefore could not present my pass on the phone. So I pulled out the hard copy and the checker was very happy.

    Thank you for your understanding. We had tried to book this2 years ago and put it off twice because of Covid concerns and restrictions. We booked way early to get what we wanted. If we had more time, perhaps we would have tried to book it ourselves, but this was just way to close for us and stressful.There were 4 of us involved. (two Aqua class rooms on the ship) Wonderful direct flights. Too bad the first alternative that was offered to us filled up. We would have taken that. As it is, we got a full refund and we are getting a future cruise credit. So, all's well that ends well.

  3. We planned this trip well in advance. In fact it was our third attempt to (due to Covid) to do this cruise. I have done the cruise and cruisetour before and it was wonderful. for the $$ we were paying we this would have been a major nightmare to reschedule air. We would have taken the other 5 day cruise tour they offered, but when or agent got back to them on Monday, that tour was full. We were going with our relatives who had never been and the whole thing was becoming very stressful. Sorry to hear that things are not good with labor shortage. I wish Celebrity had told us sooner.

  4. Got a message from travel agent on Friday that our 5 day land tour was being cancelled due to one of our stops (Talkeetna) being cancelled. We were given 3 choices, take a different 5 day land tour, which would cause us to add a flight from Anchorage to Fairbanks,or just do cruise only (which means changing flight), or cancel cruise. Our agent finally got a hold of someone on Monday and we were no longer given first option as tour was full...so we opted to cancel whole trip. I don't understand how Celebrity could not know about this problem with Talkeetna until now? Someone dropped the ball, so we cancelled the trip. we are very disappointed.

    I couldn't agree more! Wasn't sure if Casanova's was open for lunch, but it is great! You can sit outside and watch the beautiful water while you dine!

     

  7. Hi, thanks! Kind of you. My daughter and I are going in a month.

     

    What overall advice would you give? This is our 3rd Royal cruise, been on older ships as we try to do 4-5 sayers.

     

    Do you have recommendations for excursions in either port?

     

    Also, is it a Starbucks ship? The beverage plan changed since we last sailed and my teenage daughter will need 2 hot chocolates a day to keep in a good mood. I wasn't sure if I needed to buy her a Starbucks package on top of her Refresher package.

    From all that I have seen and heard, IOS is not a Starbucks ship. I hear cafe promenade may be able to accommodate your daughter though!

  8. We have sailed Reflection (loved the Lawn Club Grille), Allure (all good), and in January Silhouette. There was nightlife. I would go Celebrity.

    I prefer Celebrity to RCI. I have been on sister ships to the two you are considering, and absolutely loved the vibe on Celebrity! Much more relaxed and sophisticated! Food was better as well. Was not crazy about all the lines we had to wait in on Oasis class ships.plus, on sea days, even trying to find two seats together in the solarium was awful. Georgetown is a tendered port, but we love Grand Cayman, and beach days there are the best!

  9. I was able to do this as well. I already had the S&S package from the last sale, but I lost my wife's S&S package due to an RCI screw up when we tried to change my DW from one room to another. They cancelled her S&S package and would not honour that deal and let me repurchase... Anyway, I had since repurchased a regular deluxe package. But when the S&S came back on Tuesday, I purchased it for my wife and for a period of time, my wife and 2 beverage packages. I kept it until I received an email confirmation from RCI for the S&S and then cancelled the Regular deluxe.

  10. Half Hour at phone with RCI... my sister can took adventage of the sip and stream package but They cancel MY refreshment package and she have 2 beverages packages under her name. At start They tell me They can't do anything. I have to cancel and rebook â package for me but at 8$US more per day. Because it's my fault.

     

    Do You Ever seen me when i am mad? The evil in person but féminine version. I don't speak english very Well but i found some terms to say That i was not happy at all.

     

    My complaint is on the Hands of problem résolution department. In my head right now i see 2 monkeys chatting when eating a banana...

    My friend is now in day 2 of conflict resolution as someone at RCI changed her birth year making the 65 year old, 17, and that somehow automatically threw out her drink pkg that she ordered months ago. She is very frustrated to say the least.

OK I am goin to vent for a few lines here...I am not sure what RCCL is doing but as a large corporation it is time for them to suck it up and honor what was on the web site and then take it away...but those who acted in good faith should have this honored...it was brought to our attention earlier this week from someone traveling in our group that RCCL was having a SIP and STREAM/VOOM promo for a very good price and it was on their website...so on Wednesday evening we called and purchased the promo on the ad and the very nice young lady took care of us and cancelled out one of our deluxe drink packages and replaced it with the promo...for a few dollars more per day...and then she processed the new order and cancellation and within 5 minutes we got confirmation e-mails for both the purchase and cancellation and she told us that the refund would show up on the cancellation on our credit card in 7 to 10 days...ok I can live with that...I told my brother who is also sailing with us on 4/8 Adventure to call RCCL Thursday afternoon to see if it was still available...so he called and this is where it gets UGLY Fast...he was told that it got put on the website in error and everyone who purchased the SIP and STREAM/VOOM offer who have it cancelled at no charge and if a deluxe drink package was cancelled that it would be re-instated...oh ya sure...and I'm the easter bunny...he was told that it should have never had been posted...well that's too bad RCCL...this is a classic bait and switch offer and you need to suck it up and deal with the very minor losses...a large corporation has to honor what gets put up on their website...SHAME ON THEM FOR NOT PROOF READING the stuff that gets posted...for a large corporation this is pennies vs. a reputation black eye...needless to say my wife and some of the other folks in our group are a little up and arms...the wife did check our reservation last night before heading to sleep and my delux was still their and her SIP and STREAM/VOOM was still there...copies were made and will br brought with us when we head to San Juan in about 45 days...Guest relations may be taking the brunt of a lot of frustration from a lot of loyal to royal customers...THIS IS A CLASSIC BAIT AND SWITCH...Shame on this corporation ..THE CEO NEEDS TO MAKE A STATMENT AND QUICKLY THAT AND ERROR WAS MADE AND THOSE WHO ACTED ON THE OFFER WILL BE HOINORED BUT THE OFFER HAS BEEN PULLED...

     

     

    I agree with you! I am heading up a group and notified them that this Sip and Stream was being offered. Well, one person made the switch successfully. Another was on the phone with RCI while trying to purchase it, and it disappeared from the RCI site and they would not give it to her! Yet again another guest, went to cruise planner and discovered that her Ultimate PKg that she had purchased was cancelled because somewhere somehow RCI changed her 1952 birthdate to 2000 so that changed her from 65 to 17! Too young to get a booze pkg. Really???? That problem has yet to be resolved!

  12. Manager said they cannot see the offer. They have IT working on it and to call back later today to see if they can get the package or hopefully at least get my 8.99 zoom package back. She said they are aware it is an issue and sounds like someone higher up is going to have to make the decision if they will offer any assistance to people who cancelled packages trying to buy this new one. Hope it's not a bait and switch

    They should honor it! Doesn't matter if it was a mistake! Shame on RCI!
