We are on the Sunshine right now in an inside cabin on deck 6. No refrigerator! Not really a problem, they bring you ice if you ask. It is enough to chill our wine.

Craft classes are only offered on sailings of 8+ days. I always take a small knitting project with me, usually a sock.:)

Take care of the ship for us, we are coming on next Sunday! So looking forward to it! This will be our 31st Cruise, all Carnival. We are also Diamond, so lots of great perks, parties etc. We started cruising in 1997 so we have earned the privileges!:)

We always carry on our bags! Also we always do self assist debarkation. Carnval lost a piece of our luggage in 1999 and we never let them touch ours now. Because we are homeowners, we had to put a claim on our policy. Carnival offered us nothing.

On the Breeze, the Mongolian Wok is upstairs above Lido Marketplace. It is part of Ji Ji’s and is free at lunch. You place your order and they bring it to your table.

We went to Cuba last October on the Paradise. It was well worth the extra expense! What an amazing place that we could not go to for so many years. We already have passports but still needed the visa. We took a Carnival tour to fulfill the requirement for visitors. It was a once in a lifetime trip and I am so glad we went! It was 5 days so we added another 5 day cruise to Key West and Cozumel as a BToB. We left from Miami. Sailing into Havana is breathtaking!

Made Platinum in 2006, Diamond in 2016. 17 cruises in between. :)

The menu is like Mongolian Wok but they bring it to your table. Very nice! It can get crowded once people discover it. Embarkation day sounds like a good time.

Love Sea Bands! They cost about $10 at any drugstore and work great. You need to put them on before you sail and you will feel great! I have used them for many years and highly recommend them.

We did an outdoor Muster Drill on the Miracle out of New York. It was in March and it was snowing!

We did a BtoB on the Paradise a few weeks ago. It was 2 five day cruises, the first to Cuba, then Key West. For some reason the previous cruise did not finish disembarking till 12:30. We got a glass of champagne and the picture taken. By the time we were escorted off the ship, it was almost 1:30 and people were coming onboard. So no time alone on the ship. By the way you need to do both muster drills! The head of guest services gave us a bottle of wine and 2 steakhouse selections in the dining room because of the difficult time we had. We also got a fruit basket and another bottle of wine in our cabin. It was a good day!

We did this cruise in 2015. This is what I noticed. 8:15 MDR sitting was almost empty. Lots of wheelchairs, walkers and motorized scooters. After 9pm the ship got very quiet. The gym was not busy at any time. It was a great cruise and everyone was very nice. No raucous parties or drunk people.

We did this same cruise in 2015. Yes the average age was 60 plus and there were a lot of scooters but we had a blast! The ship was quiet in the evening. It was not your average party cruise but we were on our way to Hawaii so who cares!

We became Diamond last November. I went to Guest Services and asked for our Steakhouse voucher and I also got the luggage tags and passport holder. We were on the Vista. We really enjoy the Diamond parties too, so far we have had a lunch and a cocktail party. It all depends on how many Diamonds are on board.

We booked a cruise to Cuba too. It was much more complicated than we expected. You can't use a U.S. credit card and have to have pesos to buy anything. I also heard that you can't use the internet and your cell phone won't work. Still it is an amazing opportunity to see a place that has been unavailable for so long. We booked a back to back joining two 5 day cruises. The Cuba part cost a lot more than the other half.

I mean the unspiced variety. We only see Capt. Morgan spiced rum where I live. Anyway the price was good!
-
In St Martin they have Captain Morgan rum. This is not available in the states. We found it for $10. a bottle, it was very good! Get some ginger beer to mix it with. :)

Our cruise is next Wednesday! An 11 day repositioning cruise on the Vista from NYC to Miami. We become Diamond on this cruise, so excited! We have been loyal Carnival cruisers since 1997. We became Platinum in 2006 and have enjoyed it so much!

We had about a $1000. OBC when we took our 25th Milestone cruise. We were on a 16 day Hawaii cruise. The steakhouse plus tip and a drink each was almost $100. We did a couple of excursions. Two drinks at a bar were about$17. We bought a couple bottles of liquor n the shops. We also bought some stuff in the gift shop. You will be able to spend the money, you just have to be creative! Ours was non refundable and we were not going to give any of it back!

I love lemonade but not the kind served on Lido, too much sugar. I got a cup of water with ice and squeezed in several lemon wedges and added sugar substitute. It was great! I also made my own iced coffee with cups of ice till it cooled.

Just off the Breeze on Sunday. We got the duffle bags. They are very nice.
-
They charge $1.95 for any specialty tea now. They used to be free! It kind of spoils it for me because I do not drink regular tea. I only like the flavored ones
-
I use the Sea Bands. They are terry cloth bands with a bead that presses on the inside of your wrist. No drugs and they cost about 10 dollars. I have even used them on a plane when it got rough. I wear them all the time that the ship is moving and I feel fine.

Only Spirit class ships have chapels. They are not wasted space! On our last 16 day cruise to Hawaii we had a church service in the chapel on various sea days. This was on the Miracle. Carnival has not removed chapels from other ships because they never had them!

We are on the Sunshine right now. No cakes at lunch. I saw them on the Magic in October but none on the Sunshine. Desserts were kind of Blah!
