Sorry, should be Nieuw Statendam...
-
Should not be long before the bridge is set.

Wow! A couple of years ago we stayed at Mary's Boon Resort which is next to the airport near the cam mount.

In June, the Crows Nest had a couple of IPAs...don't remember the names.
-
Happy you got to see them on parade. there were about 50 and what a sight they made. Boston loves when they come here. Hopefully, the sailors enjoyed being in the city.
Did yoU enjoy Veendam?
Loved Veendam...not very far from bow to stern. Fantastic crew and docking in downtown Hamilton was great.
-
We were also off the Veendam Saturday morning. Took the HAL bus to the airport...no problem. We had a late flight and found a window at the airport to see the tall ship parade from a distance. That was a lot of ships!

Thank you everyone...looking forward to our first voyage on Veendam and to our first trip to Bermuda.

We were in 5001 on Koningsdam. Wind was no worse than a regular balcony. We most liked the forward facing window.
-
Would be nice if they included pictures of the actual laying of the keel, also as the ship was been build. Would be nice to watch as it goes from the keel up to the finished ship.

I have a page following the construction.

I did the same thing with Koningsdam.

Over eight months since the first steel was cut for the bow section.

Here is a link to some photos on Signature Suite 5001. We loved the room, but there is a crew door across the hall and it is slamming constantly.

Our full size luggage fit just fine under the bed on Kdam...

And, Captain Albert is on board with daily blog reports...

We had an 11:00 flight from Rome off Koningsdam in April. Rode the HAL bus and had plenty of time to spare.

Put rubber tips on them. I just bought a pack of 5 replacement tips on Amazon for 7.50. They fit all standard hiking, trekking, walking poles.

35 on Koningsdam in April.

I looked at two different sailings and the same thing shows. Its like if you plan on getting a Neptune, here is what we have. If you plan on a Vista, maybe these Neptune's could change your mind. Normal Neptune price no matter what.
-
Anyone know why this is? Online booking through HAL, choosing a Neptune, shows ten suites available, cabins 21 up to 45. If choosing a Vista on the same deck, Neptune's 08 and 09 show as available.

The price of our stateroom went down 100.00 pp and I got the Explore4 added. So with the price drop, SBP, PG, internet, and daily gratuities, that's just about 1,350.00. :)

Running tracks also go counter-clockwise...

We were on the first voyage and really enjoyed the new ship. Sure, there were minor issues since it was new, but by the end of the trip, things were running normal.

Veendam - 10-Jun-17 - 7 day Bermuda from Boston

We stayed in 5001. Here is a link to the pictures I put on HAL Facts:

Great cabin, but be aware that there are crew doors in the hallway there and you can hear them closing all the time. For some reason, there is a balcony divider. We had it opened, but it should be removed and put in storage
M.S. Veendam Neptune Suites - YOUR Opinions, Please

We stayed in Veendam 002 in June and it was great. No noise from anywhere. The Pinnacle suite is on the opposite side of the ship from 002 and 003. Bridge crew quarters are in front of 002. We preferred 002 over a suite close to the Neptune Lounge since there is no foot traffic.
