Sure would be significantly cheaper! Sailing in December will let you know then. Just didn’t want to be one of those people trying to get perks we are not entitled to!

We are travelling in a grand suite and have our children 16 year olds in an inside room across the hall. Will our children be allowed to dine in coastal kitchen with us as they are not in a suite? We will be having dinner together so just would like to know if we should plan for CK or MDR.

Thanks, yes travel agent organised the captains club number for us. I know how cranky people get when people access areas they are not meant to (and rightly so!) I just didn’t want to upset people accidentally by trying to get into places we have no right to be in.

We are going on Solstice in Jan, first time on Celebrity. We have cruised a lot on RCI so should be Elite on Celebrity. We are booked in a standard Verandah room. I am just wondering what areas of the ship are out of bounds for us lowly veranda rooms? I just dont want to be one of THOSE people who try to get into a special area when we dont have that special privilege! I know the special gold card areas on RCI, I’m just not sure how things work on celebrity. Are there special restaurants and rooms we are not allowed in on celebrity?

Our cruise was delayed by a day due to flooding at the port and the port was closed. As a result the cruise line had to cut our cruise short by a day meaning we missed out on visiting one stop. We overheard people saying that wasn't good enough and they should have cut a sea day instead of a port. I don't think they quite understood sea days were required to get to the ports.....

Ah yes the old rci computer glitches! Same thing happened to me last year but the increase was $10000! One phone call and it was all sorted with a very big apology from them. Was a bit stressful though.

I cancelled my 2 ultimate packages yesterday and rebooked the new deluxe package and saved around $300 so I'm very happy! :) I had the ultimate packages booked months ago.

I had purchased the ultimate previously. Just cancelled those packages and rebooked the new deluxe package saving well over $300 for 2 packages.

We book early and often have been the lucky recipients of a RCI website glitch where it has given us the wrong price. Once we got the royal family suite for 5 people for a 12 day cruise at a cost of just under $5k AUD. They had to honour the price under Australian law. Going on a Christmas cruise this year in another Royal family suite for the same price as an inside room... We just keep checking prices and grab one when the price is right. Hubby calls me obsessed with price checking so often but it means we can get a good deal.

On our last cruise the photo package was $50 more expensive to purchase onboard however they had a "special" for a discount of $50 if you purchased the package in the first 2 days.

Woohoo, just booked 2 ultimate packages directly with RC and they guy I spoke with confirmed we get 2 complementary replenish packages for the kids. We don't cruise til march next year. I documented that call so let's hope they actually honour it when the time comes.

Australian site also says refreshment... It's now Monday 15th evening and still can't book it.... Might need to wait til it's the 15th in the states....just got to love the RC website.

Thanks for a great review. Really enjoyed reading and will be putting that trip on my bucket list.

Just wondering about the suite perks on radiance. Is there a separate area for breakfast for suite guests? I've read the open speciality restaurants for breakfast for suites on other ships. Just wondering if this was the case for radiance? Thanks

Thanks for the pics of the 2 bedroom suite. I'm booked in this room in jan, there's hardly any info online about these rooms so I greatly appreciate the photos. Great review too.

Thankyou so much for the photos!

I am also interested in 2 bedroom suite pictures or videos. Booked on radiance but there is very little info online about these rooms. We ended up with the deal of the century due to RC computer glitches. 2 bedroom suite for the price of an outside room!

We created one yesterday! So far DH and I are only ones going...

Same happened to us today. I had paid in full several months ago, tried to print the set sail passes but couldn't. I phoned to find out why and they said I still owed $9000!! The lovely lady said she couldn't work out why the price had increased so dramatically since we booked and paid. After many minutes on hold they sorted it out and the explanation was "something weird in the computer system". Meant several minutes of panic for us thinking we would have to cancel.

There was a lady solo traveller on our cruise who was kidnapped by a taxi driver in Suva and told to pay a lot of money before they let her go. That story scared us a little so we only go with ship organised tours in suva now.

The kids are directly opposite us, can’t book this online but could book on the phone, we have done it several times. I’m totally fine if they say we can’t dine in CK, I completely understand. It’s not like we will starve! I’ll book MDR just in case we are denied dining in CK as a family, so at least I know we have our preferred dining time
