Thats the Doug Jones video, Not one of the better ones lm afraid.

By all means go for it and wear the kilt,however do be expected to answer all the questions that go with it, and ensure the proper undergaremnts are worn as well;) worn properly its a very smart item, nor worn correctly you will look pretty stupid:eek:

And if people do ask the obvious question "Whats worn underneath the kilt" l just flash a smile and reply "Nothings worn my dear its all in perfect working order;) "

And when you do, post a pic here so we can see how stunning you look !!!

And those of us on QE2 are really excited that your excited about the send off we shall have, it should be an awesome event, and with all the waving l guess we can expect sore arms:)

I'm still searching for the golden rivet!

I was shown the golden rivet years ago,away deep deep down in the bottom of the ship, only trouble was l got my hands and knees filthy as l was looking for it, and when l was shown it l saw stars:eek:

The view from the officers porthole was far easier and much less messy;)

Brrrrrr....... far too cold to be mooning out on the north Atlantic in October!

After one of my cabin parties on QE2 during my last cruise, it came to my attention of a guest doing such a thing on the boat deck after the party ended :eek: That very same guest is on my next cruise as well... a very interesting American lady;) perhaps the champagne did flow a bit too much that night?

CUNARDQUEEN, Why not form a gay wave club for the 10th & 16th oct 2008, we can wave to the qe2 from qm2 and vice versa

What a great idea! Noon on deck each day and watch as the Queens on the Queen wave to the other Queens on the other Queen;) , Just as the noon day horn is sounded, I rather fear the Captains should be pre warned so they can adjust the ballast tanks, Now all we need is somebody with a telephoto lens to get the photos of the other ship and the passengers!

Of course from the QM2 you will have such a stunning view of the Gracious Lady:)

I rather think we should all elect to join the Alan Whicker appreciation society!!!

I should warn you however that the commentary on the video is atrocious: so bad that it is laughable.

I to have this copy, for the life of me l cant help but wonder why cant anybody produce a decent video of this great ship! the only decent programme l have seen was, as RJMS comments, the formidable Alan Whicker, even though its some 20 plus years old l still have fond memories of watching this and dreaming one day l will make it onboard, which l have done again and again..

I have only watched the Mr Jones video once, and that was quite enough!!!

l did think the ocean pictures video of 1985 was bad, compared to Mr Jones version it deserves an oscar!!!.. the music at best leaves me with a headache!

I do gather sometimes the Alan Whicker programme is shown on UK sky tv, if anybody ever though to tape it, they could name their price and l would gladly pay that for it!

on the QE2 you can get the usual postcards and stationary items for the asking, and my room stewardess on the last QE2 cruise gave me enough shampoos etc to last a long time.

.... i will be totally honest and say that l usually go a few times during a cruise, early on, enjoy the free drink, ensure l get my bidding paddle and wait for the free prize draw at the end, but have noticed sometimes there are a few nice pics of ocean liners, so far l have restrained myself from bidding.. oh and havent won the draw either!!!! more often than not l end up asleep after the lunch, but hey that the joys of the QE2, or am l just a tight scotsman???
