  1. I think you are misunderstanding my question. There is a way to actually book your cruise through Verizon. It is like the e-certificates, discounted, and I am wondering if when you book through Verizon, if it's like a travel agent, or other cruise booking website, and all your changes need to go through Verizon.

    It would be great if when booking through Verizon, you could benefit from the discounted cruise, AND use the discounted certificates to pay it off, but I'm wondering if changes can be made to your booking if you book through Verizon.

    Has anyone booked their cruise through Verizon?

    I booked through Verizon. It is with a crappy travel agency and now i cannot do ANYTHING through Carnival. I lost out on a$125 price protection claim because I hate trying to call the TA that much!!

    NEVER AGAIN

  2. Thank you very much for the pics. We'll be staying in this cabin on our cruise. Seeing your photos has made me even more excited!

    Did you happen to see the entertainment in Fat Cats? I'm wondering if they have a dedicated jazz/blues band. Unfortunately, we were not able to sail on the Epic when Slam Allen was there, but I do hope they have a good band there now.

    Unfortunately the only time we made it to fat cats was for karaoke, but we did enjoy howl at the moon :D

  3. @starryeyz79

    We booked this exact room (10075) for our cruise in the Western Mediterranean next year. If you can, please post your opinion of the room!

    @anandaindonesia

    I'm happy to hear the bed is near the balcony. Do you know what determines if the bed is placed near the balcony or near the door?

    Also great to hear the balcony actually is a little bigger. We figured it had to be from the deck plan, but it's great to get confirmation.

    @CruiseIreland

    So from what I read here, the balcony should bigger. But I don't think it's a B6. We booked it, and in my online myNLC account, it clearly says "category BE"...

    The cabins are poorly setup, in my opinion. I loved having the bed by the balcony. If there are more than 2 people staying in the room, it gets cramped real fast! There is a lot of storage places though. The split bathroom was not the best idea. The sink is very small, but no need for it to be any bigger. It is not a slightly larger room though.1386900193072.jpg.f4653c91aa1a4913f9bb9ef37ec0a3d7.jpg

  4. BTW, for the last poster, you will want to bring your daughters iphones or ipods and download the iconcierge app. For $8 per day per device, it will allow you to unlimited call and txt them anywhere on the ship. That was huge for us if they wanted to go to the arcade or somewhere on their own. We would have them call in every 30 min or we would call them. Worked great on both iphones and ipod touches.

    Thx

    It's just a one time $8 per device. We used it and it was wonderful, although there were some connection issues at times ;)

  5. we just cancelled our reservation on Thursday and when I called instead of pressing the number to cancel.....I pressed the number to make a reservation and a lady answered right away. She said that the credit card we paid with was "inactive" so the credit wouldn't go thru right away and that we needed to call the credit card company. We did and the credit card was fine!

    Thank you! I tried that too, but I think they were closed so I'll try again. I've used them before, but after reading more about then and then heading they're shut down, I'm not taking any chances!

  6. Interesting about the UBP - just off the Breakaway, and the drink of the day was definitely included - all cocktails $8.50 and below were covered (I had the drink of the day - every day!).

    I was understanding that they were, just not if you get then in the special souvenir cups? I plan on buying the UBP :beer:

  7. Thank you for the great review. I am sailing on 23-Nov; I have never been on NCL - only Carnival and I am a little worried about the size of the ship. Also, in the bathrooms, did they provide shampoo and soap? Carnival has dispensers and I know to bring lotion and conditioner...

  8. Wow!

    Never been on Epic (yet. But soon will be). From the deck plan I'd love to have 10075 myself.

    It is on starboard side, bed by the balcony, and the balcony is slightly larger than others, slanted towards the bow.

    The only concern is maybe your balcony might catch more wind as it is slanted forward.

    Enjoy your cruise! Bon voyage.

    That sounds great! :-) I booked it, and I know it's better than the first three rooms we had! We upgraded from interior and they put us in an enclosed balcony on the 14th deck. I called and they tried to put us in another one, but finally put us in, what turned out to be, a partially covered balcony on the 8th deck. The last lady I spoke with was very helpful and got us a great room, I hope, this time :cool:
