How recently did you do this?     Have seen comments email submitted requests were not accepted?

I’ve always emailed mine, with an attached pdf of the statement.  I’d be very surprised if this has changed.

My only advice would be wait until the final payment date has passed before submitting.  I had Carnival representative tell me that they won’t put them in until then and there is less risk of them being missed if they come in after.

Thanks John.    I have and I'm just not seeing what I expected.   Might be my inexperience, but I was just expecting to see something saying:   Mr. XXX X XXXXX, Acct: YYYY YYYY owns 100 shares of CCL as of 04/02/2020.   😄

Maybe not a billboard, but something more obvious than what I currently seeing.    Also, it may be that I only bought a week ago, so might not have showed up on my statement page.    Just really not sure what I was looking for??

if you go to the Portfolio tab, you will see it, but Carnival will want a monthly statement.  You have plenty of time.

Hi DimmieCOI recently opened an E*trade account and managed to buy 100 shares of CCL last week.    I just don't understand what I'm supposed to print out to send to Carnival to get my shareholder credit???    Can you please explain to me what you fax to Carnival and where you go to get it??

    TIA

    Bill

wait until your first statement is available.  It will show your portfolio.  That’s what I sent to Carnival.  Here’s the info on where to send it:

  4. I think that the biggest problem the cruise industry has right now is that any government help will likely come with big strings... any loan will likely require a promise to discontinue dividends until repaid, and possibly a new structure that requires that they pay US taxes (minimal at present).  I don’t think there is any realistic possibility that the Big 3 will find themselves considering bankruptcy and if they do, it will be a chapter 11, not a chapter 7, so the stock will not become worthless.

    This too shall pass.

  5. It seems to me that the only way Carnival would actually go bankrupt would be if the banks called their loans and/or refused to allow additional credit.  I can’t see an upside for the banks to do either,  the only collateral is the ships and I don’t think the banks would want them with no other cruise line in a position to buy them.  No, I believe the banks will help them ride this out.

The stock is bouncing up right now because people are buying... the forecast is that it will still go a bit lower.

  6. 57F, cruising solo (with friends) on Ruby Princess - Transatlantic (4/27/14) and Holland Westerdam - Panama Canal (4/11/15). Would love a cruise buddy. Group leader can reference me - we have shared a cabin. I am also interested in booking something to Alaska and am open to other adventures if you have a cabin to share.
