Good, but let me explain my position more fully.

The question was who should be the priority for exemptions given that a cruise line has adopted the CDC 95% guideline. Should it be children under 12 who have no choice in the matter, or should it be adults who decided not to get vaccinated knowing there are consequences. No moral judgement there, just a simple choice of should adults take responsibility for their actions.

The priority should simply go to children who cannot at this point period. You shouldn't even be allowed to ask for an exemption as an adult simply because you refuse to get the vaccination. It really is simple, the cruise lines have a right to set the guidelines to use their vessels. If you choose not to follow those guidelines that is on you and not to scream discrimination.  Those are my two cents anyway. I'm a staunch conservative but sick of everyone playing politics with COVID.

Interesting. I remember back when this started the Maryland governor closing the port to cruises. https://governor.maryland.gov/2020/03/12/governor-hogan-announces-major-actions-to-protect-public-health-limit-spread-of-covid-19-pandemic/

So theorhetically if Carnival gets it's act together with these pre-cruising requirements, they can cruise from any port? That would be great because San Diego was set to get a CCL ship as well.

The Hawaii Governor tried closing the ports and was told no since they are federally controlled.

  3. Have you checked out the Ports of Call thread to see if anyone has experience with this particular tour operator? Also, TripAdvisor would have information on them. The reason I say this is that a reputable tour operator certainly knows the ship schedules and understands that if he is offering an 8:00 start, that ships that don't port until 8:00 would mean paid customers would not be standing on the dock waiting at exactly 8:00. I imagine, if they are experienced, you will have no concerns about porting at 8:00 and missing your excursion. If you are, then I would suggest that this company probably doesn't understand sail away time either and that is a bigger problem!

Vallarta Adventures is the only operator who is allowed to use Los Calletas and is the provider for most of the excursions to Carnival in Puerto Vallarta.

  4. That is not an issue in fact real life story. My 12 year old daughter had bottomless bubbles while I had cheers. I ordered an alcoholic drink and the bartender took it upon himself to make her a smoothie and put it on my cheers. In reality I don't think they care what you do with drinks that don't contain alcohol.

  5. Well I can say I just booked the Breakaway and to UBP and Speciality dinning. I booked for ports and comparing ports at the time of year I wanted NCL was only about $200 more then Carnival with Cheers. Big issue is Carnival was only 7 days and NCL was 11 days.
