Can you tell me how the Island is after the last storm? We are going here in January. Not sure if we should get off the ship or not. Thank you!!

I posted this question as we are going on a Cruise. My daughters Boyfriend is a commercial diver. "I" thought he was wrong that he could just walk into any surf shop and rent a tank. "I" would not think this is safe in a foreign country without being on an excursion. "I" wanted this clarified so Thanks for all the condescending and un necessary comments. It was more simple to just as then to explain the whole situation!!!!

Can I scuba if I am certified on any of the carribean Island, St Croix, Barbados, st kits...If so what all if do i Need to take along to show certification. We are going on a cruise and I am certified but do I have to do an excursion or can just rent tanks and go on my own?

I second this. I can't recommend them enough. When I lived there we took many visitors out there and they were always amazing.

It had about 20 people on it. The Captain was a tiny female and was Jamaican I believe she said.

Gina is the female Captain. Just give her an email. You have to wait a few hours for the answer. She will get you picked up and bring you back to the cruise terminal

In 2010 we took a Catamaran to swim with the turtles, snorkel and sail up the side of Barbados. We had a female Captain. We took a BLUE buss only a small distance from the ship port. We almost could have walked. Any know what company this was?? I can not find it.We were on a carnival cruise and I THINK we booked it through Carnival, but not positive. We are going there again on Royal and want to do this one again. I hope someone can help me find it!
