  1. Most changes to a reservation (adding the C&A discount is a bit subjective, hence you or may not trigger it) usually triggers the reprice to the current prevailing rate.

No, you will be whatever corresponds to your current RCI level - it is permanent (except when you are a declared significant other).

Oh okay!! Now I know better. Thanks a lot Biker19!! :) looking forward to being Platinum! :D

  2. You can once your Nov sailing points post and get to Platinum, but depending on the agent you talk to, it may trigger a reprice.

Thanks for the reply! :) I booked via Next Cruise when I was onboard Ovation earlier this year... why would a reprice be possible? Is it due to the fluctuating prices or due to the fact that I'm getting a CAS discount? [emoji848]

  3. Do you all know what is the matching loyalty tier (if any) on Celebrity for RCI's Platinum?

MSC cruises also have matching loyalty statuses? :D

My family and I are taking our next cruise coming November and we will be promoted to Platinum after that cruise. We are also currently booked on Symphony next Oct. Do you think it's possible to ask for the Platinum CAS balcony discount for my Symphony sailing?

Sorry for these questions... thank you all in advance!! :)

  4. I'll assume that no one is aware of this information :-( I will contact Royal Caribbean and we all know how painful that can be at times.

    Hello!

Yes Marina Bay Cruise Centre has, in fact, 2 such lounges. They have never been used for any sailings previously and was opened only for official visits or private functions.

However, on Ovation of the Seas' previous departure date, one VIP Lounge was opened and the sign outside stated that it's for Star Class and Sky Class. I have not seen any other classes, not even Pinnacle Club.

Hope that answers your queries! :)

  5. Hello,

I am at the present panicking as my husband uses electronic cigarette, has done for 10 years since he had a brain haemorrhage and had to give up tobacco, we depart cruise ship and are staying in Singapore for 4 days, do they search you and luggage as you get off the cruise ship? Also I have co-codomol on prescription and Ibuprofen as I had a disk fusion, usually carry some in case of need, do I need to go through the rigmarole of getting approval for small supply of each.

Neither myself or my luggage have been searched when leaving the ship. At the arrival hall in Singapore, there are machines and body scanners. The security personnel would check luggage at random. So it's a matter of chance.

In Singapore, e-cigs are prohibited items and not allowed here. For medications, it's controlled but allowed. You are required to have a physician's prescription certifying these medication.

Of course, this is IF you are picked randomly for a check.
