  1. They've already confirmed. My worry now is getting to the tender and the terminal in time. They recommend getting a tender ticket the day before. Considering this my first time on both NCL as well as my first time on Grand Cayman, I'm not sure what to expect.

We were on Royal Caribbean and had no problems getting off the ship in plenty of time. RC didn't require tickets to tender from the ship to the port. We just went to the tender area on the ship and it went smooth as silk. We were actually about 30 minutes early so we spent a little time shopping. The day we went out the seas were choppy. Mario said if any one of us were prone to get sea sick we should take something but of course none of us had anything. None of the small shops had anything either. The first part of the trip was rough for several in our group but no actual sickness. After we got in the water everyone's queasiness settled down. I would suggest taking something ahead of time if the waters are choppy and you are one prone to get sick. It's not the same as being on the big ship. I could not even imagine what it would be like on one of those boats packed with people. You will not regret going with Mario.

  2. I just sent in a request for 1/2/14. The TripAdvisor reviews are great and this looks like just what my family would enjoy. Hopefully it's open and we can tour in a less crowded group. How long does it typically take for them to get back with you to confirm?

Someone always responded very quick to my emails. Usually within 24 hours but no longer than 48. This was one big reason I went with them. I was all set to go with a different group but they took a very long time to respond to email. I was getting nervous and started searching. The other group never did respond to my last few emails. I'm so thankful I found Acquarius.

  3. I'm glad I could help. If you use them Mario will take all the pictures at no additional charge. I'm a photographer and scrapbooker so this was a huge plus for me. My friend who went with us said if she went to GC ten times she would do this ten times. It really was that magical and wonderful. My advise is Do Not take the ship excursion. Those boats had people packed in like sardines. It was really sad to see. Enjoy your trip and drop a comment here when you return.

  4. This looks great. What time did the tour leave the port area?

We left the port right around 8:30 Cayman time which was 9:30 ship time. At the time there was 1 hour difference. Mario checked the time for the ship departure before we left to make sure we returned on time but I honestly couldn't tell you exactly what time. I think it was about an hour early.

  5. Our third stop were the stingrays. We pulled up and there were boats there doing the ship excursion which appeared to have anywhere from 75 to 100 people. Those boats were so crowded it looked dangerous and very uncomfortable. I was so glad we did this on our own with Acquarious sea tours. Mario said only one pound of squid per boat no matter how many people were on the boat. I would say only a few of them were actually able to feed the stingrays. We felt like rich people with our very own yacht.

  6. Our second stop was starfish point. This was a gorgeous location right on a beach. We got in the water and there were starfish everywhere. Here are a few pictures Mario took of us with the starfish. Oh his pictures are amazing.

  7. We just returned from our trip and this was by far the best trip we took. I enjoyed all of the trips but none of them were this fantastic. Mario picked us at the port right on time. He answered several of our questions and asked what time we needed to be back. Mario wanted to make sure we had the time correct so he even went to check the time himself to make for sure we would arrive back in plenty of time. It was a very short drive to the boat/yacht. We were a group of eight and there were four others from the island waiting at the boat for a total of only twelve. The boat was big enough for many more. On the boat was also a co captain or helper Dwayne, who was awesome. Oh my, the boat was amazing. My group at first wanted to go on a catamaran but this ended up being so much nicer. Mario drove us to our first stop to snorkel. He said that if any of us felt uncomfortable in the water or if he felt any one of us was uncomfortable he would stay on the boat to keep an eye out. He said he could watch us and help much quicker from the boat. The water was very choppy so we could not go to the reef. Several of us gave up quickly due to the choppy water conditions. Dwayne found Frisbee the stingray with no tail and brought her up for us all to see. He also found a conch for us to look at. More to follow.

  8. Did you feel safe and comfortable? My DH is concerned about just the 2 of us doing an independent tour and I don't want another beach day nor ship excursion. LOL. Thanks

Yes we felt completely safe. Mario was the best.

  9. That's great news. I did read the trip advisor reviews before booking. They were very positive. There will be 8 of us going with them from RC Freedom next week. I sent them several emails and they responded very quickly and some responses were the same day. I will report back with pictures when I return.
