My husband and I will be on the Serenade of the Seas the first week in July and have booked a private tour in St. Petersburg. Our guide has said that it can take an hour to process customs. The ship arrives at 7 and we meet our guide at 8. Any suggestions on what time to get in line to disembark? Thanks!

Thank you for the information! I just realized I asked about Tallin instead of Helsinki. If you have the opportunity, please let me know about the port there. Glad you are having a great trip!

Hi Ruby! My husband and I will be on the Serenade July 2 out of Stockholm. Can't wait! Can you tell me which port (west or south) you docked in Tallinn? According to Rick Steves, you can walk from one but not the other. How are the temperatures? I"m planning to wear layers, so I appreciate any advice you have. We have cruised the Mediterranean on the Brilliance and look forward to having a great experience on the Serenade. Thanks for giving a preview, and happy cruising!

My husband and I will be cruising the Baltic in July. I know to wear layers for shore excursions, but how does being in the Baltic affect what I wear to dinner? Do women typically wear summer dresses to the dining room like I did in the Mediterranean? Thanks!

My husband and I are leaving next Saturday on a cruise out of NYC. Can anyone tell me what we will see as we are leaving? Any major sights? Thanks - can't wait!!

Thanks so much for the information! My husband and I are on the Splendor to Boston, Portland, Halifax and St. John in October. I am looking at the excursion to Peggy's Cove and the one to St. Martin and Bay of Fundy. Any input on those? Also, I appreciate your comments about the food on Carnival. This will be our 12th Carnival - we are content and don't complain! Keep Cruisin!

My Hubby and I are sailing on the Liberty November 23 and have a suite for the first time. We reached platinum on our last cruise, so I wondered what extra perks come with a grand suite? This is a splurge, we are used to a balcony roon.
Thanks!

Any idea how far that is from where cruise ships are docked?

Can anybody recommend a place to rent jet skis in San Juan? My Hubby and I will be there during Thanksgiving week on the Carnival Liberty. It seems that some of the rental places are out of business. Thanks for the help!

My husband and I were on the Serenade the first week of July. I would describe it as windy and a little cool, but not cold for us. On excursions, I wore 3/4 length sleeves and had a light sweater I took off and on. I seldom had to wear my jacket. It's really a matter of what is cold to you! On the sea day, a lot of people did wear long sleeves/pants, others shorts. I wore a sleeveless tunic, light sweater, and leggings. Layers are the way to go! Have a great time - the itinerary is wonderful!
