We had cabin 8473 on the Breeze, so the opposite wrap of yours. There was little to no noise, but we did feel some movement at night. I'm not sensitive to the movement, so it felt like the ship rocked me to sleep. The room's shape did lead to some awkward furniture placement. We have our beds separated so we actually had to push the ends of the beds together so we could make our way around them without being squished into the wall. That said, we really liked the room, the balcony was amazing, and I'd book it again for sure. You can't beat that view!! Have a great time!

I dont mind the aft movement either its comforting at night. I was a bit concerned about size of the room but it's not like we are doing aerobics in there. Just two people trying to have a quiet space to get away from the other 3600 passengers. It's funny because the room looks big on the deck plan

We were in an aft wrap last year on the Dream, which is very similar to the Breeze. We booked on deck 9 however and regretted that choice. It was right under the aft pool and the scrapping of chairs woke us early every morning. If you are on deck 8, you shouldn't have that issue.

The room was smaller than a regular balcony. There was no room for a couch, hence why it was a 2 person room only.  It was really just the bed, a vanity and the bathroom. The balcony was great though. It was super huge and we enjoyed the privacy. All-in-all, we liked the room and would simply just not book the deck right under the pool again. I think it's worth trying at least once if the price is right.

    Thanks Heidi!

  3. I havent been on a Carnival ship for many years but decided to switch things up and try a different itinerary.  I read a lot of good things and booked the Breeze. I was intrigued by the wrap aft balconies and I booked one. I have since been trying to find reviews about the cabins and finding very few. Those of you that have sailed these rooms what can I expect? Is the gray block area on deck plan by the room a storage area? Is there a lot of noise? I have had aft balconies and love location. I have cabins above and below so shouldn't be a noisy "people" location. Cabin number 8466. Room appears larger than regular balcony but deck plans can be deceiving.  Any info will be appreciated

  4. This doesn't pertain to the Epic specifically but I'm fresh off the Escape and it was terrible.  There was no internet at all for 24 hours the first sea day and after that I was never able to "stream" anything. I got about 5 minutes of a game we wanted to watch and it would just freeze. Waste of upgrade money for sure. They did credit me 12 bucks for the day with no internet after I went to cafe and asked for it.

You, or your TA if you booked through a TA, can call and get them added - my sister was able to do so.  You will be responsible for paying any gratuities for additional selections, if they apply.  We booked after final payment so we paid in full right away, she later decided she wanted to do all perks rather than picking 2, it was a quick call or email to the TA and an agreement to charges to the credit card (for gratuities) and she had all perks.

I was also able to change perks - I had originally selected the dining and shore excursions perks (I don't drink, cruise lines HATE me since I also don't gamble), I was able to get swapped to dining and internet since I was only taking one shore excursion.

Thank you! I thought I would ask here before I called and had to wait on hold. I'm not a drinker either but am thinking about the internet package.

If you’re using the free flights promo your edocs won’t be ready until the tickets are issued.

We do have the flight promo! That must be it. Thank you. I guess I wont worry about it til we get closer to the 60 day mark

  7. Message on my account says Edocs are ready! Yay right? Click to download it says...click...message says e docs not ready to retrieve try again. This has been 2 weeks. Cruise not til 01/04. Does it usually take extra time for docs to appear after first message?

  8. First night is exploring and getting a lay of the land so to speak. Casino is a must visit to see if my favorites are there and generally spend some time enjoying the balcony before bed. Last night will be packing and feeling sorry for ourselves that we have to go back to 25 degrees and snow. We are on the Escape in January so maybe we will try not to be as lame as we sound...lol

  9. We have sailed out of Tampa twice. First time our departure was delayed by 5 hours due to ship not getting in. Second we were on the ship and were 3 hours late getting in. Maybe we were just unlucky but a whole lot of folks were in a bind with flights. We have not cruised out of Tampa since.  Its Miami for us now.

As I explained in numbered paragraph 5 of my first post, there's nothing more you need do.  The $50 credit should appear in your account after you have taken the shore excursion.   This is also answered in the Terms and Conditions, linked in my OP:  "For the guests that book their excursions online; they are charged full retail for the excursions and the discount will be applied onboard in the form of a credit to their onboard account."

Thank you I did read through your post. I was just worried that with all of the glitches with the system lately was the credit actually showing up on the ship accounts once on board. Sounds like everything  but the latitude discount is working. Thanks for taking the time to help
