  1. We spend the last day early check out at passport control on the ship, leisurely breakfast in the MDR, check out of the room, hand luggage to the theatre, then a quick trip to the town or the shops at the port then back on board to catch the last of the rays when the ship is nice and quite, early lunch with a quick wash and brush up and are usually picked up around 2 -3.

We did the farewell to Barbados trip once and had a long wait at the airport because the flight in was delayed, if we had stayed on ship we would have had another 2/3 hours of holiday and not spent it in the airport which is not the best of airports.

But do as you feel is best and I am sure you will enjoy your last day.

I was considering doing the farewell tour but this is one of the reasons why I decided against it, if flight is delayed you stay on the ship and not stuck in the airport

  2. Just found this on FAQ for P&O:

There are no weight restrictions on the upper pullmans, however there is a weight restriction on the bunk ladder of 130 kg which is approximately 20 Stone.

The upper pullmans are "shock tested" to approximately 300 kg.

Any passenger can sleep in a upper pullman, please bear in mind the bed is elevated therefore a lower berth/cot may be suitable for children/babies.

You will be unable to have a queen bed configuration in the cabin if any of the upper pullmans are in use.

So looks like its a no go for a double bed config when using the pullman

  3. Hoping to get a single cabin on a cruise in the med on Azura or Ventura for 14 nights, as these cabins are very limited, where can I find the costs for an inside cabin for 2, but just for 1 passenger?

I have booked for Azura as a solo passenger and it was £100 cheeper to have an inside regular double than an inside solo cabin !!

Just do a dummy booking and see what comes up.

  4. all the inside single cabins on are in good locations well away from the engines. Personally i would not bother booking a specific one and save the £42.

first time aboard i booked 6003 which was fine except next door is a housekeeping locker and in rough seas something in there was banging against the walls. I mentioned it to the steward and it was fixed.

Last time on majesty i took pot luck and ended up in the same cabin. No banging on the walls this time.

Thank you , think I will save the money and just see what I get :)
