Just to update folks, they are willing to help at least, though so far missed the point by offering challah.
I'm continuing my effort though and incorporating twitter use now. Lots of education.

Hello, great review. This answers most of my questions as about our kids, we are on the Dawn April 9th with our 2 boys (8 and 4). First time for them on a cruise.
Couple of questions:
1. Did your kids make friends at the Splash Academy?
2. In the kids pool, any issues with bigger kids "taking over" the pool area?
3. Any other tips for things to do on the ship/off the ship with the boys?
We are really looking forward to the trip. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the feedback. I contacted Special Events again and figured the charoses and some of the sedar plate would be an issue.
More about having a single sedar, not worried about keeping Passover on a ship, but would like to do at least a quick sedar.

Has anyone ever attempted to have a small sedar on a cruise ship? From the archives it looks like it has happened, but I haven't had any luck so far setting one up.
We are on the Dawn leaving April 9th and I'm trying to figure this out. Called NCL, they directed me to e-mail someone on the ship's special events team, but haven't heard back.
Any ideas? Suggestions?

Personally, I'd do the Vibe pass without hesitating.
Question would be, how much time would you spend on the balcony vs. out? We spent maybe an hour a day on the balcony (generally in the morning for Coffee).
We spent 6+ hours a day in Vibe. The pool deck was too crowded for us and I really liked that in Vibe there were umbrellas for shade when it was super hot out.
This was on the Escape, but Vibe made our cruise. Staff was great and you really get to meet the people in there since it is like a ship within a ship.

I've read through past threads and have found conflicting reports. Some people say guest services while others say Headliners. Can someone who has recently obtained these let me know?? I don't want to waste time once I get on. Thanks in advance!!
It was Headliners last week. They set-up a few of the things you can buy on the ship there (i.e. Water/Soda packages).
Staff on the ship seemed to know where to point us also. You board the ship almost immediately above Headliners and it is right down the stairs when you get on.

Does anyone know the hours of operations for Vibe on the Escape? Would be nice to know how early/late you can be there!
Thank you!
The bar "closes" at about 6, though there is a bartender in there til at least 7 that will serve you.
We were in there last week as late as 8:30 still getting drinks one night.

I believe if you have the UBP both Bulleit and Woodford Reserve are included. I thought they had changed it to anything <$15 is included and both of those would be.
On our last cruise (a few years ago), no bourbons were included. It was a little disappointing.

I think its pretty normal. I can think of numerous times we've asked someone at a resort to watch our kid(s) and never had a problem before. On a ship, I think it would be less problematic.
I'm curious about this too.

I can help on this. We were on the Star the week of Feb 17th and had a pretty long discussion with the Beverage Manager on the ship about this. He wrote down for us what is NOT included, I'll try to post a scan of it when I get home tonight, here is what he wrote:
- All Martinis
- Speciality Drinks in Souvenir glasses
- Beers $5.50 and above
- Wine by the glas of $10 above
- Super Premium brands of liquor
- Bottles of wine
- Cans of soda and red bull
- Bottles of Water
- Buckets of Beer
I also have the list of included liquors from the Star that I'll post. We definitely talked with people that were having Patron shots and thought they were included because they wrote UBP on their receipt. I'd imagine they were surprised when they got their bill. Overall it is a pretty good program, but the Martini thing still makes no sense to me.
