  1. Just to add we did cruise on eclipse last Jan in a S2 room 2124 I think it was could be wrong but experienced this same thing. Out of the 14 nights I only remember it doing it maybe four days though and don't think it was all the time. I just kind of though it was swells or something but definitely was a pretty good shuddering feeling. Hope they do get fixed if getting worse.

  2. Just back from the Reflection we had dining package and it was accepted at the porch for dinner. It was fantastic you can order anything and more than one entree. They also have what they call a barbecue on Wednesday evening it was fantastic as they serve everything on the menu all you care to eat i is more of a party. Prior to dinner you meet with ships officers on the lawn for cocktails then the entire restaurant is open only for barbecue guests, the wine never stops flowing, the staff and chef enjoy themselves as much as the guests, I will never miss this again the cost was $119 if you did not have a drink package, and $70 if you have the drink package. The menu started with flat breads of different types or you can do half of one item and half of another. The main coursed included chicken and steak kabobs, lamb chops, fish, filet, lobster, shrimp, scallops, crab cakes, and deserts. We had never done this on prior cruises but it was a blast, it was a full house service was outstanding all dishes were hot when served and my glass was never empty.

Just off Reflection and that special barbeque was offered at Lawn Club not the porch. We did it at porch twice for lunch and was very good. Thought the cheesecake dessert was very tasty.

  3. San Juan appears to have several places for the ships to dock. Do you know which one you were in? We're trying to plan a 5-6 mile walk/tour when we get there and knowing that would be a great help.

You will dock in old San Juan if just visiting for day. There is nice walking path at waters edge around the forts that is great. If leaving on cruise wfrom San Juan Celebrity uses other port not near anything really.

  4. So, one of my suite perks is two free specialty restaurant meals. No clue how that works with a la carte pricing. And, frankly, I'm not impressed with the menu anyway. I assume the food will be better in Luminae.

MSC Yacht Club is calling. Lots of other options out there.

    Linda

The free specialty restaurants are not included anymore with c/s and lower anymore. Believe it was any cruise booked after Jan 1/2016 and if before it will be honoured.

  5. It s apparent the one that sail in suites and ones that don't have different opinions how it should be done.

They should have another option for lunch besides buffet where there is never seats or eating at poolside hamburgers where there is never seats either.

The room service menu should at least be expanded to give you a quiet lunch in suite if so inclined.

  6. In may on constellation Lumina was quite busy and that's the difference I believe is the less specialty restaurants on m class that the top suites get for unlimited dining so they have no choices but use Lumina. On s class there is a lot more choice to use the unlimited specialty dining including lunch. We made use of bistro a lot for lunch but without any clarification from celebrity weather sushi on five is inch in unlimited dining for top suites you definitely have far fewer choices than before on m class.

celebrity needs to do a better job following through with what is promised and providing a consistent product on all ships which currently is not the case.

The thread should be open till celebrity confirms some questions. If person reading has nothing to add or don't pertain to them simply don't read or post in it.

  7. When you have a suite, another option for port days on board when you are enjoying your space and/or balcony, would be to ask your butler to serve your room service lunch in the suite. :D:D

    Cheers!

They should seriously look at that as an option but the room service menu should be updated with greater options. On m class ships being in penthouse or royal suite even with unlimited specialty dining there is no options for you now at lunch when at least before bistro could be used for a quite lunch.

  8. Samuel,

I didn't become able to afford a RS by walking past $800 worth of anything, promised amenities at booking included. As groryjm posted regarding promised unlimited specialty dining, it's not the money as much as the inconsistencies in X's own statements. This brings about what's perceived to be their attempts to use "fine print" to nickel-and-dime their best customers. I haven't cancelled my booking, but a letter sent to X's Executive Office 5 weeks ago, relaying my booking experience and more that I've chosen not to post, remains unanswered at this time. They don't seem to care.

I spoke with celebrity just this week with this same complaint. I suggested to then a sheet in room outlining all perks and restaurants outlined so everyone is consistent and informed. I wrote a letter to concerns@celebrity.com and was contacted by email and phone within two days. Maybe try sending your concern through that channel.
