  1. We are pricing next year's cruises. Before you even start a booking, you can search and see general information on the cruise search page. Dream is consistently pricing 500-600 higher (advertised rates prior to entering your VIP) than Mardi Gras, Vista, Horizon! I don't get it! WHY? And generally just the month of July. Do you think it's because that ship might already have more bookings than the others? I would have thought Vista from Galveston would be more competitive. We are looking to book several rooms in the balcony category, so this is a significant issue.

  2. Does anyone know the procedure for my daughter to change her name with Carnival, and not lose her Gold status? And should she book now, under her maiden name? Will they allow a name change once booked? By the time the ship sails she will have been married 5 months, and hopefully her docs will have been changed over by then.

  3. I love the review of your suite. A little unhappy with the fact that in this class (Vista class) if we want 3 or 4 in a suite we have very limited choices of cabin/locations. On the Breeze I have many more options. It makes me feel that Carnival is forcing the families that travel in 1 room to be on Floor 2.

  4. Just off today. We walked off at 6:45am and it took a full hour to clear customs and be in a cab. In general, I thought that was long for self-assist. My in laws had tags that were supposed to be called at 9:30am and at 10:45 were still waiting on the ship. We were glad to be at FT. L airport early though as the crowds and lines only seemed to increase throughout the morning. Our flight had 30 min delay due to weather.

  5. We are sailing Oasis on May 21....and I chose our loft suite for many reasons. And I am excited about the suite perks. I know they aren't Star class but there are still a lot upgrades. I got my email from the concierge this morning where they explained the perks. They told me they will assist with spa and shore excursions but gave me a # to call once onboard to reserve CK and encourage me to make my own reservations for specialty dining. :( I am also now in process of printing out the brochure on VOOM for Sky class as it's my understanding each person booked will receive service but the email was ambiguous on that.

Is anyone onboard now that could clarify if the concierge will help with specialty dining reservations once onboard? Of if you can go get a cup of coffee from the lounge in the am and take it back to your room? They were also clear that food/bev need to stay in the lounge....

  6. I'm feeling frustrated with the website today. When we were first able to book dining/shows I went on and set my time to dine (main dining room) ressies for the 5 nights we planned on eating there. Yesterday we added 2 more people/1 cabin to our trip and RC by phone linked our reservations so I could add them to dining. WELL... it says I could modify/add people....but it lied. It wouldn't let me. SO then I had a idea of cancelling all our MDR ressies and starting over. Now it will let me add our 2 new people....but it won't pull up the MDR for reservations. Just the specialty restaurants. I am 82 days out on the Oasis. Any thoughts? I have logged out, in the hopes that in an hour or so I can log in and try again.

  7. We are thinking this cruise might be one of those once in a lifetime cruises....and everything looks great. Price. Dates. Ports. So here is my question - my DH and myself would have our 7 yr old son with us. Usually we cruise the Caribbean and he always finds friends at the youth club or onboard and we have a great time. What are the chances ANYONE with young children will be cruising a 14 day repo cruise? especially since the airfare is as much as the cruise - this will be on the pricier side of vacations....
