Any update on the winter cruises. It seems that the Covid situation is not improving very much in the Caribbean so far ,Jamaica is the now on the alert list . Marella are not very informatif to customers with reservations . It looks like a cash grab is in the works if you cancel before final payment date??

Where did you read this?
There seems to be a bit of a disruption going on in Cuba at the moment as well as a high covid alert. If that continues no responsible cruise line is likely to enter Havana .

It appears that any cruise to Havana may not happen for the foreseeable future. Will Marella refund if this happens?

Montego Bay has to be challenging for the number1 SNAFU in the aviation world!!

time to plan another trip, any changes in duty free liquor prices yet ?

If you live in the US book through Sunwing/Sell-Off vacations, google them, Pay with your credit
card in Can funds. You can depart with air from Vancouver or Toronto, or drop the air portion and fly to Montego Bay from the USA. . There is always a way , the ship and cruise is great once you
get past Jamaican red tape. Good luck.

On our Cuban Fusion cruise in March I was not impressed with the ships duty free prices re liquor. While it was policy to take it to your cabin, which is a good thing, the prices were the highest we ever encountered versus past cruises. You will pay more than what most items cost in the provincial liquor stores in Vancouver as an example. Wait till you go ashore in Havana eg, $5 downstairs in the cruise terminal for Havana Club. They had better realize when in the Caribbean you do not expect to pay European prices. Other than that we loved everything else about the ship,

Sounds like a plan ,a local TA is very interested in hooking up with Marella so we will see,tks
-
This will not be a factor as like my previous Marella cruise it will likely be booked through
a Canadian TA.I can get a flight from Vancouver to Malaga and return with Transat if all else fails.

You are probably correct re the air inclusive. As for the credit card , visa is visa,as I previously
paid for a flight from London to Rome so I don't think Marella would have, any trouble taiking
payment from Canada via Canadian credit card.

Wondering if Marella provides some sort of air from Canada to connect with Med cruises. As a veteran of Marella D2 Cuban fusion cruise which we were very pleased with,we are interested in a Med cruise in the future on the ex Celebrity Explorer. Not all TA's in BC are up to speed yet.
Arriving at Montego Bay

Having worked in the aviation industry for 15 years, I consider Montego Bay airport to be in a class by itself and I don't mean that in a good way!!
