WOW - is this common? Sorry to dig up an older thread, but I did a search instead of creating a new thread.

 

I have already booked directly with Princess. I was planning to transfer to a TA or Big Box, but his info. has me stunned.

I usually book with princess when I find a cruise I want then transfer to my TA. I have done this many times successfully. This is the first time this has happened. May have something to do with the ship redeployment that was happening and the cruise eventually was changed to a week later.

For us Coral is the best! More space per passenger, great food, and fine entertainment.

She is easy to get around, and the staff members are always helpful.

We have had 3 upsale offers of Minisuites to full Suites. The last one for our TA on the Royal in October came one day after final payment.

Thank you so much for sharing the phone number. I had a very large Princess purchase in July that included airfare to Europe and I had only gotten single points for it. I called the number and he fixed it while I was on the phone. He said they hope to have the bug fixed by the end of August.

Same here just made final payment for my October TA. Called today and got my double points.

If you don't have a TA you can book with Princess and then transfer the booking once you have done research for the better price. By doing this you have already reserved the room along with any promotions that the cruise line may be offering at the time.

I just did that. Booked a cruise on the princess website to get my preferred cabin on the day it was released. I called my TA to transfer the cruise to her. She filled out the form for a transfer. Princess ended up cancelling the cruise instead of transferring it. By the time we realized this someone else booked my cabin. We ended up rebooking with a less desirable cabin.

We're booked on a March 2019 Royal Princess cruise to Cabo San Lucas out of LA. I checked this AM and it's on the Sip N Sail!! Surprised the Princess rep.

Got the alternate OBC instead of the booze and kept our price!!

DH immediately wanted me to check to see if the Hawaii/Tahiti was on the web site yet. ;) No such luck. :(

Hi I can have either R410 or M408 on Royal princess, I'm leaning towards R 410 only because it's a further level down from the bar

Any photos or review from someone who has stayed in either would be appreciated

R410 it has a cabin above and probably will have less noise and it has a bigger balcony.

NO, we like aft cabins.

We have this room booked for an Alaskan cruise in May. I know it is an uncovered balcony, and has the window washing equipment back there. My question is, has anyone been in this room, how was it, any problems, advice? We are young and fine with walking the long distances :), seeing this is the very aft of the ship. Any thoughts, opinions and advice are welcome. Thanks

We had that cabin in April 2015, 20 days Fort Lauderdale to Vancouver. We enjoyed the cabin. Being aft there was some vibration at high speeds and some noise from the door going out to the AFT viewing area. We would book that room again

I was thinking of redeeming some points on my Princess credit card for onboard credit for our upcoming Diamond Princess cruise. However, since the shipboard account is in AUS, will they be subject to Princess's horrible currency conversion rate? If so, the points are probably better off spent elsewhere.

vibeguy- if I ever do another btb I will send both at once. Seems silly to separate them. My forms have clearly written booking numbers on them.

I will let you know how that works. I sent in a B2B2B this morning at 0900.

Our final payment is due next week, July 8th. Princess just reported no knowledge of changes to that itinerary. Hope we can get clarification before July 8th.

Tough call. Do I cancel or keep my cruise with a good possibility it will not be what I booked.

I wonder if the shaft bearing failure is related to the increased aft vibrations following drydock?

What does "AP" mean on my luggage tag? It's under the ship name.

Just checked my boarding pass and luggage tags. My luggage tags from my May cruise show the Captain's Circle level. The luggage tags for my upcoming November cruise don't have that information. It just says Welcome Aboard in that part of the tag. I wonder why they changed the format. Probably just to justify some marketing person's salary...

I must be a recent change. I printed by luggage tags for my upcoming cruise on 10/17 right after final payment and they said Platinum. I printed an extra luggage tag this weekend and it says Welcome Aboard.
