We cruised for years on RCCL when our three boys were teenagers. We loved it!
Once we became Diamond on RCCL and they stopped cruising with us as much we switched over to Celebrity and loved it even more. We were somewhat hesitant about trying something else when we were already very happy with RCCL, but we made the switch and have no regrets.
Give it a try!

I’ve read a few stories that say mixed vaccines will be approved but I haven’t seen anything specifically saying AstraZeneca and Moderna/Pfizer.
"The CDC said the vaccines approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for use, as well as those authorized by the WHO, will be accepted for entry into the United States, including the AstraZeneca vaccine.
The CDC said "individuals who have any combination of two doses of an FDA approved/authorized or WHO emergency use listed COVID-19 two-dose series are considered fully vaccinated.""- 1

Just got my room for the 12-08-2018 sailing on Symphony! Whooo-hooooo, where's that Roll Call already?!?!
:tropical-drink::tropical-drink::tropical-drink::tropical-drink:
What number did you call? I just called the Royal 1-800-562-7625 number and they said they are delaying any Symphony bookings till March 17th.
UPDATE: I called the Crown & Anchor Society and they were able to get me booked.

Yes. You can walk right around via deck 5 (with a few stairs located forward to access the helipad). Check this video out:

Hi I came across this thread - I am looking to book 10662 - how was the cabin? Bed near the balcony and was the balcony a little larger because of the slant ? Thank-You !
I have yet to try it out, my cruise is not till Nov 2016. I will check back in on this thread after my cruise. I am sure it will be great thought!

What do you earn more points as solo or something?
If you are solo in a cabin you get 2 points per night instead of 1. You also get one additional point a night if you are in a suite.

That is very impressive, Daddy Bytes.
And that's a very nice avatar you have. ;)
:o Received this list a few months ago from a very helpful RC agent who emailed it to me. Happy to share it.

What coupons or discounts are added to the Sign and Sail card? This will be our second cruise and I read we get onboard discounts.
Here is the list I go by:
-
We only use it for one-way international flights, and it has been very good for that.
Agree. Much better deals if you are looking for a one-way on a TA.

Just saw the details for the Indy fall 2017 transatlantic posted on the RCCL US site - I really like the itinerary - 15 nights Southampton to FLL. Starts with 8 days at sea then St. Maarten, St. Kitts, St. Thomas, San Juan, Labadee, a sea day, then end in FLL.
I'll be reserving that bad boy as soon as it opens up for booking :D
I got my eyes on that as well! Looks great!

You earn your points after your cruise is taken, not during - so you will sail as Gold.
You sail Gold, but no harm in visiting the Loyalty Ambassador and seeing if they will upgrade you during the cruise. I have heard of "some" people being allowed. Let us know if you try and if it works out for you.

Will bookings (for EU and TA) open up at midnight (EST?) tonight for C&A, or just 'sometime' tomorrow?
Anybody know what time of day the Alaska and CruiseTours opened up for booking? And as others have asked, in the first few hours was it available for booking online - or just via phone?
Thanks.

Cruise solo, or with a friend. Take a transatlantic/transpacific/repo cruise and meet him at the destination.

Dang. I should have known you would have spotted this already Gary. Sorry for the duplicate post.

Thanks so much for sharing this one. My husband is a private pilot so he eats, drinks, and sleeps anything to do with flying and since we will be landing in this airport next week, this is a good one to share with him. Thank you!!!!!
My pleasure. No doubt he will also enjoy these http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2316761

I am on a ship and cannot get into attachment.
Are there prices for Explorer May 15 ,19 and 26?
Is it also showing Pacific Coastal for September?
Thanks for the help.
Perhaps you will be able to access this image:

I would take the AFT. I would appreciate having a full lounger on this type of cruise.
You might be interested in using this site to calculate what type of sun exposure you will get.
Hope that helps.

Do the buses in Phillipsburg go over to the Harley Davidson dealership at Cole Bay? If so where in Phillipsburg and Cole Bay are the bus stops located? Are the buses vans or bigger?
Based on my experiences there are no real schedules or bus stops. Watch for the bus (yes they are minivans) and flag them down. For the most part, the buses, which are privately owned and not regulated (as far as I know), travel through Philipsburg, Simpson Bay, Marigot, and Grand case. In some of the busier sections of the cities you may spot a bus stop sign that says "Bushalte" - but they will stop anywhere if you flag them down or ask them to stop if you are already on the bus.
The buses have their final stop posted on the windshield (usually Philipsburg or Marigot) - some have other signs. Here is an example of one:
The buses do go near Cole Bay, but I am not sure they go directly by the dealership. Based on my experience taking the bus there, here is what I would do:
- Go to Back street in Philipsburg.
- Flag down a bus headed West (away from the port) towards Mullet/Maho
- Tell him you want to be dropped off at the round about at Cole Bay (Union Rd). There is a KFC right there.
- You can get off at the roundabout and walk to the dealership - it is just a couple of blocks away. http://goo.gl/maps/r5hFzLee7oP2
I have heard in the past that if you tell the driver exactly where you want to go (and it's not on the route), sometimes they will make a VERY small detour to drop you off. But I have not tried this myself.
Best thing is to just tell the driver where you are trying to go and he will drop you off as close as he can. In your situation, worst case is a couple of blocks from the dealership.
Bus will cost you $2 each way. Make sure you have exact amount.
If you want a more direct route and to get dropped off at the front door of the dealership, then spend a few more bucks and just take a taxi.
For your return trip, just do the reverse.
Hope that helps.

How about taxi fare to Maho Beach?
I was there two weeks ago and it was $10pp (one way) - there were 4 of us. Some more information here in Gary's post. Note: based on my recent 2 trips to SXM it seems as if the prices listed in the pictures in Gary's post have increased by about $1.
Hope that helps.

Does anyone have a recent picture of the taxi prices from the port to the various beaches in St Martin / St Maarten? Or does anyone recall the prices? We will be a party of 5.
I was there two weeks ago and it was $10pp from the port to Mullet Bay (one way).
Based on information from Gary's post here, it seems as if prices based on the images in his post seem to have increased by about $1.
We took the bus back from Mullet and it was $2pp. It took the same amount of time - it only stopped a couple of times. I'll be taking the bus on future visits to SXM.
