I am referring to the theme parties I have attended on the larger vessels... such as White Hot Party, 80's night etc. 

I can't seem to find anything mentioning theme nights on the Dawn. I have an approaching sailing for 11 days and am hoping someone could let me know if there's a theme night(s).

I appreciate everyone's input and reply. As long as we can wear jeans, I am all set. I don't have the $$$ for a whole new wardrobe since basically live in pjs these days.

Hello! Would someone please advise of the dress code for the main dining room on the NCL Dawn? We are from FL, so pants is not something we typically wear unless it's cold. Are men's dress shorts appropriate or have the rules been lax these days? 

I also understand NCL is freestyle, however, how many "formal nights" could we expect on an 11 day itinerary if we choose to participate?

Any recent cruisers able to confirm that the Champs Bar on Deck 12 is still open to smoking?

I have sailed many times with NCL, but never less than 8 days. This summer, I am doing a quick trip and was wondering if  the Sky offers a white party despite it being a shorter itinerary.

Has anyone rented the cabana? Is it worth the money? Do they have their own restrooms and buffet. And is there bar service only for the cabana area, or is it shared with all?

If I pay for VIP, I would expect to get VIP treatment. Your thoughts are appreciated.

Thank you for your response. I know that on longer sailings if you purchase the "drink package" it includes specialty coffees.

Even if they don't , I am still excited to see a Starbucks on NCL.

With the Sky offering open bar/ paid bar tab, does this mean I can get a delicious brewed STARBUCKS for free?

Last time we sailed and stayed on board for one of the stops, it was close to 3pm before the pool bars opened. I'd rather not pay for expensive drinks in Key West and take advantage of open lounge chairs that day!

Anyone aboard the Sky that can tell me what time the pool bars open on port days?

When I had the Cheers package way back when , water was not included. They seriously need to reconsider allowing it , if they haven't done so already.

:) It's certainly expensive, a 12 pack can cost $3.79-$4.99. I didn't want to lug the water around either.

I was able to order a case to be delivered in the room. The cost was the same as if it was purchased at my local grocery store.

It's been a minute since we've sailed with Carnival. I've already ordered a case of water for the room, but I'd like to bring a 12pk of soda if possible. I am not a soda drinker, but my husband enjoys one ocassionally. I can't imagine spending $60 for the week on board.

Also, I am thinking of bringing my own wine. I realize there is a corkage fee, but I wonder what the rule is. One bottle per person?

From what I've read, this seems to be the direction that Royal Caribbean is going. While I've not heard anything about roving hawkers, I recall reading about how they've set up tables in the atrium hawking things.

Royal Caribbean is the WORST at this! They hawk you while your eating dinner - trying to sell you on another dining venue.

We have a party of 9 and had to book at 90 days to ensure we could be seated together. I would call as soon as you can!

We leave tomorrow and sail out at 4pm. I believe that all sailings for 2017 will be this way

Hello there!

My party and I are sailing on the Getaway in Dec.

We have sailed NCL previously, but for some reason I do not recall the dress code "rules" for the main dining areas.

I am specifically curious about:

Tropicana Room

Savor

Taste

Can men wear dress shorts? Can woman wear dress shorts?

We are bringing our kids along this time and want to make sure we are all following the rules. I don't agree with t-shirts and jeans in the main dining areas.
