  1. DW and I will be sailing on Liberty in late July and have selected YTD. When we were on the Freedom last year we were able to request a private table with certain wait staff once we found wait staff we really enjoyed (Alex from the Philippines).

I know crew members rotate in and out, but are there any wait staff which can be recommended for YTD on the Liberty?

  2. I have an Olympus TG-3. The newer version is probably better, but the TG-3 is what was available at the time of purchase.

This camera took pretty good underwater photos, and works well as a regular point and shoot camera as well. Friends and family have purchased this camera after seeing our results with it and they are just as satisfied as we are.

  3. We are staying at the Scottish Inn. It was the cheapest option ($100 after taxes and fees) in Galveston which had cruise parking and a shuttle to/from the port. It doesn't look to be an extravagant place by any means, but it has decent reviews. We were going to stay in Texas City, but this option cost less after considering the savings from not needing to park at a parking facility.

  4. It's not that she is uncomfortable under water (She says she doesn't anyhow and would like to be able to easily do so.), she loves to swim and she says she isn't able to close off her nasal passage by engaging her soft palate. If she isn't able to do this, then she won't be able to keep a seal on a mask because suction won't be able to occur.

  5. We are going to Jamaica, Grand Cayman, and Cozumel in July and wish to do some snorkeling in Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

My wife is unable to hold her breath underwater, and also needs to physically hold her nose shut to keep water out. With the inability to do such right now, she cannot get a mask to fit (keep suction). Any suggestions as to how to teach her to be able to do such without holding her nose shut with her fingers? If she isn't able to do so, could she use a combination of nose clips/plugs and a mask?

  6. We are driving down in July, and we are staying at the Super 8 in Alvin, TX. It's really not too far out of the way, OK reviews (Recent reviews have me questioning if something has changed though.), and it's cheaper than all of the other areas/cities for this time of year.

  7. I arrived back in Sydney after my 5 night cruise on the Radiance this morning. Although I didn't get sea sick during the cruise, I'm now feeling dizzy and wobbly. Has anyone felt this way and what's the remedy to alleviate this problem?

Your inner ear and everything that helps you with balance thinks you're still on the water and moving with the motion of the ocean. It can cause nausea due to what your brain thinks is happening and what your eyes are seeing don't exactly match up.....

When I was a kid, in New Jersey, I would go out on my uncles' commercial fishing boat (90 feet long). At that time I thought that was a huge boat, coming from land locked Kansas (16ft bass boat is the norm.). One trip we had 10'-15' swells (waves) and I couldn't eat for fear calling "Ear!l". After three days of this, when I got back on land, I was literally doing standing sqauts when standing in place because my brain/equilibrium thought I was still on that non-stop roller coaster:eek:.
