    Hi,

Have a interesting situtation,  in the first part of my B2B cruise.

I turned over both my bookings over to a TA

to help him with his business and made final payment...Fast forward to yesterday when i learned that the first leg of the B2B fares

    have gone down...

I did a mock booking of the first cruise and if I wanted to try and rebook

the same Cat(Balcony), I would save close to $900.00..

    Does Princess honor Price Drops??

Over the past month I have contacted Princess twice, when they have sent me promotions for new bookings. Both dummy bookings I made with the same category cabin have shown a reduction in price of about $500. Each time, when contacting them to see if I could get the reduced rate, I have been told that I got a better deal with my original booking. I'm wondering if in future, I should book through a TA, rather than direct? I'm not sure I 100% believe them, especially when the last promotion was their "Best Deal Ever"!  70% off for the second passenger.

Flights can be considerably cheaper from the US and it also opens up airline choices.  I have driven to Seattle many times to catch flights flew Southwest mostly as they do not fly from Vancouver.

As of Nov, Southwest fly from Bellingham!

  3. Just booked 31 nights Sapphire Princess Sydney-Vancouver April 2nd. Just heard that the April 3rd cruise from Sydney to LA on Emerald Princess has been cancelled and repositioned to Europe. Fingers are crossed that our cruise will be a go. So much anticipation!

  4. We have been on one Aquafest group cruise, which was great, very inclusive, lots of things planned, Tom Baker is great, usually family embers are part of his team, and are very good. Three Pied Piper cruises, which were fine, a little clicky. Last one was with John Heath Travel, it was very good, John is very interested in his group. A group of twelve of us 'jumped ship' so to speak, from Pied Piper. If you go with a group, the rates are in USD, but usually include a couple of perks, like Bev Package, OBC, or paid gratuities, which usually makes it a better deal in the long run. We cruise a lot of regular cruises,  on which we have met many great friends, all straight.

  5. I am sailing from Las Palmas on this ship. This is my third cruise with Pullmantur.

We can start our own roll call here. I would love to meet others booked on this cruise.

We are booked on this sailing, we are Owen and Brad from Chilliwack, BC. Our first time on Pullmantur, but we are experienced cruisers on many of the major lines.

  6. My partner and I are thinking of taking the Aquafest cruise on the Crystal Symphony from July 10. We have sailed with Crystal numerous times but never with Aquafest. Does any one have info on them? Good bad or indifferent. Especially interested in any Brits who have been on it.

    Hi P&P,

Tom Baker, owner of Aquafest is great, he really cares about the folks in his group, his team 3 years ago comprised of himself, his partner, mother and brother. It was his Post Halloween cruise, lots of fun!

    Owen & Brad.

  7. we did Cuba with Tom, had a wonder time. Tom was out and about making sure everyone was enjoying themselves and that was a huge job, lots of us booked thru Tom and his company. Would not 2nd guess a cruise with him at all

We agree, Tom cares about his groups!

  8. My partner and I sailed with Aquafest on a Panama Canal Cruise three years ago. It was a wonderful group. We had previously been sailing with Pied Piper Travel on their gay group cruises and Aquafest was much better.

We're going on a Transatlantic cruise next month (not an Aquafest cruise) with several of the friends we made on the Panama Canal cruise. Unfortunately our current work schedule hasn't aligned with their schedule. I'd cruise with Aquafest in a heart beat.

    Hi Steve,

We cruised with Aquafest 3 years ago on their Post Thanksgiving cruise on NCL. We wanted to try Pied Piper before doing another Aquafest. After 2 Pied Piper post thanksgiving cruises, I have to agree with you, Aquafest was way better, family run, inclusive and more fun. Tom Baker cares about his group!! This year we are with about 5 couples we met on our first PP cruise, we have 'jumped ship' again, doing this post thanksgiving with John Heath Travel, on the NCL Getaway out of Miami on Nov 26th, great rates, and 2 perks included, and $50 deposit!! Enjoy your transatlantic!!

  9. We are doing a t/a on Caribbean Princess 4/6/17, which cruise are you taking?

    Joe

We are doing the Regal Princess Baltic on April 30th from Copenhagen, you will be back or still in Europe before we leave. Have a great time!!

    Owen & Brad

  10. I did book through Pied Piper. I registered on the PP website and entered my CC information. PP processed my payment through Celebrity. I can see my reservation on the PP website. The travel agent (friend of a friend) just had me enter his name as the "agent" (they get a commission that way).

When I log in to Celebrity and look at my reservation, I see the "exclusive" PP shore excursions that I can book. It all works just fine. I just didn't get the Beach Bash Email that's all and PP blew me off to the travel agent which makes no sense to me. I was simply asking them to make sure I was being included in the Emails. Oh well ...

When I log in to my reservations on the Celebrity site, I don't see any exclusive PP excursions, maybe I am missing something? I see the regular Dreams beach excursion that includes children from 5 years of age for $99. I will have another look, but it is very confusing to me, could be alot simpler.

  11. I tried to warn Derrick about his security problems and he argued with me and then cancelled my reservation. I had to rebook via Celebrity. Be very careful what information you give PP. There site is not secure! And if you make Derrick mad.... he will just cancel your reservation!

My credit card has been compromised 3 times this year. I thought the hackers may have been getting access through Aliexpress.com, but maybe it is through PP. My partner, however has not had this issue, even though his card info is also recorded on the PP site. Maybe the info should be removed anyway. Its hard to pay by cheque when you can rack up frequent flier points, we use them to get to the ships for free!

Will keep an eye on it anyway.

  12. Let me know about the sail and snorkel in St Bart's. I may be interested.

We have'nt been to St Barts either. We are renting a car, US26.50. Will just drive around and visit the various beaches. I don't think PP do excursions, someone mentioned that in a previous post. Unless they will host a beach party? Anyone know.

Looking forward to a great cruise experience with all the PP alumni!

  13. ...I'm copying what was posted in the Roll Call section...

Hello everyone. My partner and I will be joining the Pied Piper group this coming November. We booked really, really early (back in October I believe) and have been counting the days ever since.

This one will be our second cruise this year. Our first is NJ (our home) to Bermuda in the beginning of June on the Summit (3rd time on the Summit). Our best friends are having their wedding on the ship in the Reflections lounge/disco prior to the ship sailing. Some of the wedding guests are heading home afterward, but many are staying on and cruising for the week. Should be wonderful.

Anyway, cheers to all. Michael and I are definitely looking forward to cruising on the "Connie", sister ship of the Summit we've come to enjoy so much, and perhaps meeting you all. DENNIS

    Hi Dennis!

Owen & Brad here. We are booked on the post thanksgiving cruise this November and the Summit to Bermuda the end of May 2016. Thanks for your comments about the Bermuda cruise, hope everything went well on your recent cruise and the wedding went well?

Cheers, and hope to meet everyone in November!

  14. My partner and I will be traveling on the Epic this July. This is only are second cruise and we are looking forward to meeting others. I have tried to find the roll call for the Epic with our departure, but have had no luck. We hope that we encounter the good people that have commented in this roll call. This makes us less nervous about meeting others. We have been together for 7 years and are getting married this October. We are putting the honeymoon before the wedding :-)

You will have a wonderful time, congatulations on your upcoming wedding, all the best for a long and happy marriage!

  15. Hey guys - I see you completed the roster.

As the date get closer I'll email that group as well as the unofficial pied piper post thanksgiving FB group I administer - more info and conversation goes on there. It's not just this upcoming cruise but also additive from alumni over the years. Almost 500 in that group

Thanks for your quick reply, we will try to check out the FB page, its great that you are doing that.

  16. Hey Folks.

Ray and Jim here. Booked sailing for this November 2015. We are Pied Piper alumni, they do things right on this sailing that keeps me returning. Plus the guys that we've met over the years on this Post T-giving sailing are terrific. I am so excited that I garnered an AquaClass on the stern (deck 11). The Balconies on those cabins are HUGE.

It will be awesome to get back on the Millennium Class ships. I like the smaller size and the heated indoor pool!

Blu is awesome for the dining, such a treat to enjoy that anytime experience in a true restaurant experience.

We booked in January in Aquaclass Guarantee, but have not yet been given a cabin #. hope we get a aft cabin on deck 11 too!

  17. First, thank you for your question. Very cool. Just another view to throw in the ring:

I'm gay and my gay circle of friends is quite large. We actually organize a group cruise every year on a mainstream line. There are typically anywhere from 30 to 60 of us, depending on the year, the line, and the costs. We typically pick the ~3,000 person mega-ships and have done the Allure once too. We have done four Carnival, two Royal Caribbean, two Princess, and one Celebrity so far. All Caribbean. We try to alternate lines to vary the costs for people who those of us who need a less expensive cruise one year or want to go somewhere we haven't before. We've also done a Mediterranean and Alaska as a group -- those pull in only about 30 of us because of the commitment/costs.

We're also... and how do I put this without offending some of my own people.... we're not your typical gays either. It is absolutely hilarious having the other people on the ship try to figure us out. Almost all of us are between 200-250 lbs, have tattoos, and some kind of facial hair. By Day #2 or #3, we have people guessing all over the place because they see this big bunch of guys with no women. They usually assume we're a group of firemen, bikers, fraternity brothers, boxers, police officers, and even one year someone said -- and I quote -- "Ya'll a bunch of ex-con's??" which was absolutely hilarious.

Once they learn our commonality is that we're all a bunch of homos, we typically have a solid following of straight people who want to hang out with us because, well, we're fun! In ten cruises with an average of 50 people on each cruise, over the course of a decade, we have never ONCE had a negative experience that I can recall off the top of our head. Part of that is also honestly the fact that no matter how much someone may not like it.... nobody in their right mind is going to screw with a group of fifty pretty big and tough guys -- gay or straight. LOL.

One year the Cruise Director was gay and figured us out on the first day. He would always come hang at the nightclub with us after he was off work. That was a cool year having the CD in your pocket. ;)

On a side note: We have done every single Caribbean destination with the exception of Jamaica. The guy who organizes this for us has a thing against Jamaica and it's related to their disdain for gays.

Here's a picture of a dozen of us when two of our group got married during the cruise, on Magens Beach in St. Thomas one year.

Thanks for your reply, and the awesome picture. You guys really do look like you have a lot of fun. it is great to see.

Hopefully our Pied Piper cruise experience will match, or best, what we experienced on Aquafest last October. if not you may be getting a message from us!

  18. You can book directly through celebrity or even another travel agent partner and still receive the 123 go perks or the all inclusive benefits depending on which promotion is running. The only reason I transferred my booking to pied piper is because I wanted to try the full experience and also there was some benefit with their group discounted stateroom pricing.

Thanks for your response. Yes we usually book through *************.com, but last October we wanted to try a gay group cruise with Aquafest, which ended up being very good, lots of fun and activities and plenty of information, once it came.

we thought we would give Pied Piper a shot to see how they compared. After booking, we already feel Aquafest was better, just based on the responses received from them compared to Pied Piper. Pied Piper does not seem to be too concerned about repeat business. So we are keeping an open mind until after the cruise. Hopefully it will be good as we have already booked the Bermuda cruise next spring - hopefully we have not jumped the gun on that one. But we guess it all depends on the group you end up with. You can make it as fun and successful as you want - no matter who you book with.

  19. Thanks for your response. We cruised with Aquafest last October on their Halloween Cruise, it was a lot of fun. I was impressed with Pied Pipers website and thought we would give them a try, up to now I am not impressed, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt, if they don't do hotel packages like Aquafest do, why not just tell me? Do they really care about repeat business? Obviously not!

Main reason for booking the post thanksgiving and Bermuda cruise is definately the 123Go benefits, we will see how we feel about them post cruise. Thanks for your comments, they are appreciated.

    Happy cruising!!
