Guess I'm the odd ball. I love packing for a trip.

2 weeks prior i gather my med kit and something to wipes surfaces down with. Lysol spray.

1 week out ill print out tickets for the trip and all hotel info

2 days prior pack all nonessential items.

Day of..add essentials. Check passports and travel documents 100x. I hate forgetting something.

Its the best part. It gets the excitement going

I always sail on Christmas. I wild suggest bringing what you would take to a resort in the summer. But add a couple of cardigans to throw on. I bring maxi dresses for night time.

As far as elegant night i really dress up in a long elegant cocktail dress.

I always suggest maxi dresses if you don't want to be dressy. You can wear bejeweled flip flops to dress it up

I have done multiple 3 day cruises and i love them. I get a balcony and hang out on it. I never noticed lots of drunks like the people here always say they do. We only cruise out of port canaveral if that makes a difference.

On my last cruise Christmas 2016 we were not able to use the calling feature of what's app. Messaging worked perfectly however

Lots of people that live in colder states. Teens and thugs call them hoodies. Adults call them sweatshirts with a hood on them.

Wait you're a thug if you call them hoodies? ?

They are even labeled on amazon as such. Smh:rolleyes:

We have never spent more than $200. We don't drink at all. Don't buyexpensive onboards items. Private excursions. Drive to port 7 hrs away. Precruise hotel purchased through priceline or hotwire secret deals. Parking is cheap offsite. We buy souvenirs if we haven't been somewhere before. Very easy to spend very little if you budget well.

I had this exact dilemma. I chose sunshine for the ports. Im a little nervous because of the reviews about her. I got a balcony in case of overcrowding. The price was the exact same between the two

A vacation is what you make it. My husband and i did this cruise out of port canaveral last Christmas and had a blast.. we hit the beach on both islands.

I have never purchased cheers and never will. My husband and i dont drink enough to justify the costs. Our bar bill is rarely more than $50 for a 4 day cruise. Everyone is different. If you dont drink much dont purchase it. The water, tea, and lemonade was plenty for us.

Edited to add we bring 2 bottles of wine each time and usually have an unopened bottle of wine.

My friends and i missed a ship 3 yrs ago. Our fligh was scheduled to be in at 10. Multiple delays later we missed it. Always go a day earlier. It was an expensive but important lesson!
