  1. I ask because I'm thinking of doing the "Let's Take a Selfie - Grand Cayman", which goes to a couple tourist sites with the last place being 7 mile beach. It's only a 3 1/2 hour excursion getting us back to the ship at 2:30 and the ship does not leave until 6. Would it be acceptable to "quit" the excursion at the beach to get more time there? Obviously I would be responsible for getting myself back to the ship.

So the site I referenced shows 20 open B4 cabins (out of ~50) and 100+ BA cabins (out of ~250).  Did you book a B4 because you need a family cabin?  If not, it may be less expensive for you to switch to an OA now and then upgrade to a BA.  Either way, I believe by the time your points post there will be cabins available for you.  I also assume that you have spent enough to close the point gap from 25K bonus to 30k.  BA cabins can sleep 3.

also if you decide to switch to OA now, either call your NCL consultant or the NCL customer service number.

I'm glad you asked me that.. after recalculateing it seems like I'm short about 500pts. I will pay more on the cruise now to cover that. Thanks so much for making me recalculate.

I needed room for 3. Not sure if that makes it family? It doesnt really matter as long as we can get 3 in there. I got the offer for 25k bonus points after spending 1k. Then.. so far, have charged just over $1500 towards the cruise. If my calculations are correct that would put me just over 30k pts.

What ship and dates are you looking at?  I have a website that shows more inventory than what you can see on NCL site (which shows 15 at a time).

Jewel, 11day, on Dec 1 2024 from Tampa.

You are in a Family Oceanview O4.  You will be able to upgrade to B4 which is a Family Balcony.  And, as stated, your points will post once your statement closes.  I call the World Points 800 number and the rep will guide you on which cabins are available.  866-954-4077

Ok, so as long as there are B4 cabins available I can upgrade to that. Currently there are some. If they are not available when I upgrade (25 more days of pending pts) then I would have to call NCL, change cabin categories, then use the upgrade. Correct? I think I get it. Thanks so much.

    O4?   Not a category.

If you have an inside, you can get an ocean view. Ocean view you get a balcony.

Pending till cycle closes. So up to 30 days as soon as 1 day.

Sorry, learning to use the quote feature. Thanks for the info on pending pts. However on the upgrade don't you have to go from a certain oceanview to a certain balcony.. not just any balcony? Current catagory shown in pic above. Thanks

  7.       So I booked a cruise then started looking into this cc points deal and got the card. I have a o4 cabin on the Jewel and I want to get the 30,000 pt. upgrade. Does anyone know what room category that would upgrade to?

Also how long do points show as pending on the BoA website? Thanks in advance.

Following, been trying to figure this out for a while now.

  9. Great !! Are you happy with the room ?

How did you find out ? Was it just by checking your edocs ?

Looks like a good room, midship, 5 rooms from main elevators, guestrooms above and below us. Room # just appeared next to.. Ill just post a pic. Its on the vacation summary page. Its on Edocs as well now.

  10. Its our first cruise on NCL so I have no idea what is in the room as far as power outlets, were in a regular balcony room as far as I know (guarantee which is not assigned yet). I need to plug in 2 regular plug in items and 3 usb chargers. Will I need a splitter or are there enough outlets? If I need a splitter any suggestions on good cheap ones with usb ports? Thanks!

  11. To answer your question, Yes. I went back today to try to print new docs because I did an upsell the other day and I can't get them to display.

I tried with Chrome and also IE.

I'm also experiencing weird results while searching pricing for cruises, so I think they must be having some troubles.

Thanks for your reply, guess I will wait it out and see. I've never seen a site with so may issues as I have on NCL since I booked this cruise, unless you count the government healthcare website..

  12. Right on the NCL contact us page there is this... (I think it would be a much better place to get yoru issue resolved than CC.)

As I stated, I do not particularly want to sit on hold for 45 minutes. I will give it a day or so if nothing else. IN THE MEANTIME I will try cruise critic.. thanks.

  13. Is anyone else not able to access their eDocs on NCL? I have been checking daily for them to be available. Today I can finally click on them but for a couple hours I was getting error code 1000. Tried again a few minutes ago and now I am getting "Server Error in '/EDOCS' Application."

I called NCL but got tired of waiting on someone to answer...
