  1. That always shows up as broken link next to my name and a blank square on my XPress passes. It's not anything important. It might be S for "Select" being your Celebrity Captain's Club level perhaps? No significance though.

     

    Can't be that for us,as we've never been on celebrity.Explorer on Azamara though.

  2. Well one more week down and still no stateroom assigned. Only 2 more weeks till we leave. Maybe we will not know until we are on board. :rolleyes: That would be a first for us. :)

    We are still waiting for the 22ndAugust stateroom but have the stateroom number for the following cruise,very odd. On the Journey though.

  3. There is a more straightforward way. Click on the following link (I have it saved as a favourite), log in to show your reservation(s) and then open another tab and log into that same link. All your booking(s) should then show with the select tab to enable you to view all of your reservation including cabin number. This works on my iPad or desktop.

  4. It very much depends upon the cruise and what cabins are left. I had a look at your cruise and there are no insides left at all, but there are staterooms in other categories. Fairly soon they will start to look at upgrades and this will most likely free up some other categories. Of course you might get lucky and score an upgrade yourself. Good luck!

With back to back you generally have the day to do as you want, subject to port authorities agreeing you can go ashore (not usually an issue) and you have to attend the safety drill for the next cruise as usual. You are given your new cruise documentation at a meeting onboard just before the end of your first cruise. You will have to punch out your first card by a certain time and have a new photo done for your next one (all this takes less than a minute).

     

    If you are changing room, you pack some of your items up and they will tell you when your new room is ready and help you move them. Anything on hangers stays on hangers they bring a rail round to help you do the move. The only delay you get is if the outgoing people do not go out of the room on time. They try and prioritise cleaning out your room first, though that went a bit wrong for us on Quest last time we had a room change for b2b so I would maybe make sure on that one if you are wanting to be ashore by a certain time to do sightseeing on a changeover day.

  6. Just a few thoughts to add.

    As this is a disembarkation at Rome you are going to need to get to the airport but the airport hotels are not the sort of places you would get a day room you would want to relax in. Day rooms work really well in the USA and in some Far East locations but in Europe hotels are less geared to them and airport hotels do not have much if any relaxing areas. Our travel agents know nothing about this sort of facility, I am not sure how you will fare in Australia so it is going most likely to be a case of work it out yourself.

     

    I would look at using someone like Rome cabs and have them take you somewhere (? a countryside tour) to use up time en route to the airport.

     

    I would not rely on late disembarkation this summer with all the security goings on in Europe. Late disembarkation does also impact on the terminal staff and they may not want to divert security to be around when your bags eventually come off the ship.

     

    If they do offer late disembarkation as the ship sails again that evening I would expect lunchtime will be the latest you can stay on - in fact I have never seen it be offered beyond 1pm. I was on board on b2b when a cruiser who thought they knew better tried to stay on until 2.30. They were having to find them to get them off, so whatever time is "off time" is disembark time for you, do not push it later.

     

    What happens when you are on a b2b uktog? Do they store your suitcases for you till your next cabin is ready ?? Thanks

  7. The amount of passengers who return over and over again should tell you how good Azamara are .We've taken 3 cruises 2 on the journey and 1 on the quest and a b2b booked this month . The passengers,crew and size of the ship makes it much more relaxing than the bigger cruise lines.

  8. Hi , I have received a response today from Customer services as Richard is away.We aren't entitled to any OBC because of the type of booking we made,not very clear on what type of booking you would need to get it. Not very happy but nothing we can do about it.🤔🤔

  9. Hi,I have now emailed Mr Twynam about the OBC but he is out of the office until July 25th so will let you all know the out come if and when I hear anything.

    Does anyone here know the trick when trying to see what stateroom you're in,I used to be able to do it but can't remember how now.Oh the joys of getting older !! :D:D

  10. Hi all and thanks for your replies so far.

     

    We booked on the 2nd of this month and I put in my request on the 11th July through the Azamara web page that details it. It said to do this within the 14 days after booking.I also emailed my T.A and she also sent the details.As I said above they haven't answered my request I only know they are refusing it because of my conversation with the lady at customer services.Do you think because we've booked a guaranteed stateroom,we aren't entitled to it maybe ?

     

    Perhaps Bonnie may be able to find out for me ?? Otherwise any idea who I should ring or email ?

  11. Hi, please can anyone enlighten me what is the criteria for getting OBC for back to back cruises ? As you can see by my signiture we are doing b2b in August so I filled the form in and sent it off,now I still haven't had a responce from that email but I did phone customer services about some thing else and asked if we have go it and she said no we weren't entitled to it.I don't think what we paid for the 2 cruises was cheap by any means so just wondering what the reason could be.This will be our 4th and 5th cruises with Azamara and have never had any OBC from any where yet I read here that people have so much they can't spend it :rolleyes::confused::(

    Traveled through Mumbai to Join Journey in November 2012, can't remember seeing any where to store luggage as you have to walk along the Quayside to get on and off the vessel as i recall after passing through the port building and the Indians have quite high security and are very strict when it comes to bags. The tour is probably the best option for you.

  13. Why don't you use a private tour company. Then you can just carry your luggage along with you. I am on the leg after yours, The company (Mumbai magic) is picking me (and luggage) up at my hotel, then giving me a tour of mumbai before dropping me off at the ship. It is very reasonable.

    I emailed them to ask why we'd not received any thing even though we'd been home since November and they replied very quickly to say they were posting them.I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened it to see nothing but brochures.I have emailed them to say what's happened but not had an answer. I don't know whether to resend the email or just forget it.It was only a cardboard envelope which if it had metal water bottles in it it's no wonder it split.

     

    Can I ask what you received Autumn Lass ?
