  1. In another place, a person on board mentioned that the seas the night before were somewhat rough. I honestly don't know if that contributed, but it leaves the door open to this man not being drunk or "foolish."

We were on the Triumph for NYE in 2013, and ran into 18 hours of very rough seas shortly after leaving Cozumel. Our entire last sea day made for difficult walking anywhere on the ship, and I saw a few people actually come off the floor during some of the bigger waves. If they'd have been anywhere near a rail, they very possibly could have gone overboard.

Yes, it can happen; not drunk, not suicidal or foolish, just an accident.

  2. My husband and I would like to visit Hacienda Antigua on our visit to Cozumel. What is the best way to tour it? Is there a good tour or taxi company that can take us there, or is there a specific Carnival excursion that goes there? We'd prefer going on our own, rather than take an excursion, because we have some other favorite stops in Coz too. Also, is it possible to order a larger quantity at the factory to be shipped home?

  3. Duty-Free Allowance: Ship itineraries that include any of U.S Virgin Islands: St. Thomas; St. Croix; St. John.

$1600 (retail) of duty-free purchases per person may be spent. Note: of the $1600, no more than $800 can be purchased outside the U.S. Virgin Islands or on board. 5 liters of alcohol per person (21 years or older).

Note: 1 liter of alcohol must be a product of the U.S. Virgin Islands. 5 cartons of cigarettes containing 200 cigarettes each (18 years or older). Note: 4 cartons of cigarettes must be purchased in the U.S. Virgin Islands.

    100 non-Cuban cigars (18 years or older).

  4. We used to get sea legs after all our cruises. Sadly, we no longer get it.

That's how we are! The first couple of cruises we loved what we called "Boat Moments" every time we'd get out of the vehicle and try to walk into a convenience store looking like we were drunken sailors. LOL We, too, miss our Boat Moments.
