I have a feeling that because of the ever increasing numbers of Diamond members on RCL cruises that major changes will be coming. And I don't think they will be adding benefits. As a practical matter, the past year or so the Diamond lounges have been standing room only for the first 90 minutes (until people begin to leave for dinner). IMHO I believe it would make sense to have a lounge for D+ and above and have the Diamond members have benefits loaded to their sea pass cards. A drink limit, perhaps a limit for specialty coffees etc. What does everyone think?

    If you search for the ships with the overhead light show and promenade, there are 4 sister ships you can book for a cruise at this moment;

    Msc meraviglia

    Msc bellissima

    Msc grandiosa

    Msc virtuosa

The seashore is a other class of ship and sister of the seaside and the seaview.

    Thanks Maikell....I needed that.

The Yacht Club restaurant is on deck 18.  The Top Sail Lounge is on deck 16.  There is no deck 17, it's the Italian version of deck 13.  The sun deck with pool, bar, hot tub and lunch buffet is on deck 20. The spec sheet for the Seashore is located on post # 10 in this thread.

Things could be different on the Meraviglia, which is the ship that has the overhead light show you mentioned.   The Seashore does not debut until later this year.

    Thanks SNJCruisers.

  4. I want to try the YC and it seems like it's about three decks 16-19.Can someone advise me about which deck is the happening deck,(s)

which deck is bar and restaurant on , and the sun deck in front of the ship.

Obtaining the above requested information is wholeheartedly appreciated

  5. Hey MSCers, has anyone been on the Meregviglia & the  Sesahore? I want to go on the ship that has the changing scene in the overhead light show for the long promedade, and can't find out which one it is or maybe both have it.

So, any info one can provide is much appreciated.

No one answered your Question.  Yes according to MSC T&C the daily service charge can be removed onboard.  The decision is yours and yours alone.

Josie1960, thank you for finally answering the simple question that I asked.

  7. Can I remove my gratuities and pay with cash on MSC?

First time going onto MSC and wondering if I have the capability to have my gratuities removed (it's not ppd) at Guest Services, and reward who I want to reward at cruise end.

    Thanks for any feedback.

  8. A lot of the hotels in the mountains seem like they're out of The Shining movie which is part of the appeal. I stayed at the Hydro before it was renovated. It was very much like that.

OP, if you prefer, for not much more, you can rent a something much nicer like Crimson Villa in Katoomba.

    Thanks for the reply.

  9. I knew several people would post this. I don't cruise for tv either but it would still be nice to have something good to watch in the evenings while we are just relaxing.

And everyone cruises for different things. I don't cruise to go somewhere and sit by a pool or a beach since I can do that when at home. But many others do. If someone goes on a cruise and wants to watch tv then good for them. Their vacation their choice.

    Well said BeachChik....
