We are staying in San Juan a few days before our cruise and I am having a though time locating kayak tours that have single person kayaks. The last time my fiancé and I did a double kayak, I wound up with a headache from being "accidentally" hit by her paddle a couple times.
We might have to settle for a double kayak but I'd rather not have to worry about being beaten with a paddle. Haha. We love kayaking and are up for any type of tour/ rental.
Has anybody seen any single person kayak tours or rentals?
Ask VelaUno and Copi, both in San Juan

Hello,
six of us will be cruising out of SJ March, 2017 on AOS I noticed the pan-American Pier has a east/west side which side does AOS go out of
Regards,
Shelley
Pan American pier has capacity for two ships docked very close to each other, so it makes no difference east/west in terms of taxi fare, I've always seen AOS docked on the left side and the Celebrity Summit to the right as shown in the photo; either position both ships go out to the left toward open sea.

San Juan bus system is not as reliable as Chicago and NY, you could be waiting one hour for a bus, Saturday's gets slower since most drivers are off and there is no service on Sundays; I would bring some change to test the system and an Uber ready phone to have plan B. Taxi is the most expensive way of transportation we locals hate/avoid them. Bus fare is 75 cents coins only/no bills/no make change. Fare card & day/weekly passes can be purchased at train stations only away from tourist area, you'll have to get a bus connecting with any train station.

System fare is displyed under Tren Urbano topic.

Take city bus D53 or T5 from the bus terminal in front of pier 4 Old San Juan for 75 cents.(buses does't run on Sunday)

don't see puerto rico listed as one of the destinations.
The web page was updated and now is showing San Juan as destination including 2 bus routes looping OSJ with the beaches.

Zone 2 thru 5 on the linked table pertains to tourist areas.
Check Uber app for their rates which are a lot cheaper; service does not cover the entire island yet.

Very disappointing.:( Thanks for the update.
I asked on another thread, but I'll ask here too, anyone know what the cab fare is from the cruise port (OSJ) to Condado?
Specifically Marriott Stellaris?
:)

Information was spread by local Journals no official company release as when to service starts.
Follows company's Facebook page for more info to come; as per FB inaugural photos looks like they'll pickup passengers right from the boats.
Buses are not running yet, there is a safety issue as the tall buses collide with tree branches all around the city. Gov is doing their thing to resolve the problem-as heard in local radio.

Believe it or not I don't do Facebook
If anyone gets more information on this please post it I would be interested in doing this when we get there in Jan we are there at an odd time from 3-11pm so this would be something fun to do.
Thanks

Renata102 you information is no longer accurate, bus routes were reconfigured since August 2015, use google map-public transportation to plan your trip during your stay, the official gov www with updated routes for buses train and ferry: https://ati.pr/en/routes-and-maps/
Due to Gov financial crisis service was cut on Sunday.
Rate is 75 cents, coins only no bills no change. Tourist routes T5 & D53 loop the airport with OSJ without transfers.
I have seen lot of tourists in these routes going back and forth from OSJ to Condado and Isla Verde hotel/beaches as well as local youngsters with surfing tables and beach coolers on the buses.
Cons=local regulation does not allow big luggage on buses, only small carry on's (to favor taxi unions $$) Pros= drivers are flexible sometimes so give it a try to save some $$$
-
Service will start soon covering Old San Juan, Condado, Isla Verde and Carolina with 30 stops along the route as reported by local newspaper.
-
Uber is providing service already from San Juan to Fajardo, planning to cover the whole island in the near future.
Locals highly support Uber due to lack of transportation methods also they are tired of Taxi rip off rates and low quality service. There has been problem with the local taxi union, not sure if its safe to use Uber from the airport, however is pretty safe from point A to B at the city.
