  1. My wife and I are fairly new cruisers.  We have only cruised Princess.  We do not want to get into the LARGE ship capacity thing and are looking at Oceania.  I keep getting brochures weekly from them now and it looks like such a nice cruise line.  We do like getting dressed up for dinners etc.  What is the dress code like during the day?  Of course, all the brochure photos show everyone dressed so well always. Just curious as we start to plan now that we are beginning to open up to cruising again.
    thanks….

  2. We will be cruising in Europe this fall.  We have looked at both this and MedJet and have decided (as others have mentioned) to use MedJet for the fact they will get you out of where you are to your home hospital.  We plan to buy a yearly plan to cover the cruises throughout a year for the “just in case”.

check out both sites and send them any questions you may have.

I am doing the exact same thing next year and have done it in the past.

If the 2 ships are docked very close together then a porter can take the luggage or you can wheel it yourself.

If the ships are docked in distant parts of the port then it is $8 to take a taxi within the port.

try to be near the end of those disembarking the first ship so that you have less time waiting to board the second ship.

Also, it is possible that Sky will not dock at the same dock it left from as the Enchanted may take that spot.  In this case as the 2 ships are the same size, this is unlikely but if it happened, Princess would offer shuttles back to the parking area you left from.

When on the Sky, check at customer service desk a day or 2 before end of cruise and they should be able to let you now the pier the ships will be at.

  4. We are finally set for our cruises in 2023.  We will be on the Sky Princess for 7 days. And then when we disembark, we will jump ship to the Enchanted for a 10 day cruise.  It’s not a true B2B so just wondering after we get our luggage, do we then take it to the porters for the next cruise.  Has anyone ever done this?

  5. We are doing a 10 day Caribbean cruise on the Enchanted Princess and staying in a balcony.

We’ve decided to add the other 10 day end after and book a sideways inside cabin just down the hall on C deck.  Moving from forward balcony to midship inside.
My question is, what is the procedure for us when we get back to Ft Lauderdale at turnaround?

    Thanks

  6. Will be driving down next year for our cruise and staying at an air b&b for a week before the cruise.  Any suggestions for a Park & Go?   Not sure I want to park at the cruise terminal area with all the traffic and commotion.

    thanks

.....As memory serves best, the Sanctuary on the Coral is really unique. It is at the aft of the ship, is two stories, and has its own pool (which felt a little like swimming in a tin can).....

You are correct on the Sanctuary being at stern of the Coral and two levels.  Really three of you count the pool as one level and then two Sanctuary levels.

I think that we were told the pool itself can be used by anyone (not kids) but seldom was it busy.  The noise from the pool can carry up to the Sanctuary area and it tends to echo and if a bit of a crowd can get a little loud and annoying.

We really did enjoy the Coral and would sail her again in the future.

This is a pic of the upper level of Sanctuary.  Cabanas were same price per day as loungers.D97E5BFB-4A24-4291-B75F-236B2444E63C.thumb.jpeg.dded31116cb87fcc12b9dace2812f849.jpeg

Is there a charge to use the Sanctuary adult area?

We were just on the Coral and the charge is like other Sanctuary’s on other ships we’ve been on...

    $40/pp/day  full day

    $20/pp/day  1/2 day

think it’s $30/pp/day if booked the whole week.

The Serenity Steward Santi was very easy to work with.

Right underneath the "Cruise Details" button when you search, there is a heart that says "Save this cruise"

Yup, that’s where it used to be but on my iPad it’s no longer there.  I can still bring up the ones I had saved before the change but the “save this cruise” is no longer there on new searches...oh well.6DEF28F5-B12C-4C0D-B959-FA2CE15B7C6D.thumb.jpeg.76a5669584290fae013f2b6e08a74159.jpeg

  10. You really do not need to tip.  We have always had very good luck in The Sanctuary no matter the ship.  I think at the end we tipped about $20 for a seven day cruise.

We recently sailed the 15 day Panama Canal on the Coral. Even through The Sanctuary is not as big or as nice as the Royal or Regal, we tipped because of the service we received.  I usually tip the head serenity steward.  When I couldn’t find him the second to last day I remembered he’d work the buffet on night shift .  I went up there around 9:00pm and found him and tipped him $20 for the six afternoon sea days we were there.  He was just great to work with.
