Which deck does embarkation/debarkation happen on the Fantasy while in the port of Mobile? It appears from the deck plans the answer would be Deck 7 - Empress since the three decks below are full of cabins. Can anyone confirm this?

We killed time at the Exploration Tower and arrived at the port around 1:30. Dropped off bags, parked and walked right in with no line anywhere and our cabin was already open. Easiest embarkation I've ever experienced. Although, some would argue that we missed 2 hours of vacation time by not arriving at our assigned time of 11:30.

I'm glad to see it wasn't just my family having problems with the chat feature of the Hub app. We've used it on two cruises, but won't purchase it again until it improves.

I was hoping the ship would support the Carnival Hub app after dry dock.

I was booked on the Magic repositioning cruise sailing Nov 27, 2016 (12 day). I received an email from Carnival that my booking has been cancelled, no explanation. I can't find the cruise on Carnival.com anymore. I haven't found any reason why yet. I was hoping something was posted on CC.

I carry 20s, 5s, and 1s in three different pockets of my shorts/shirts. This way, I don't have to pull out a wad of bills or open a wallet. I simply feel the number of bills I need from each pocket and pull out exactly the amount I want. Usually, this is done after my wife has already decided how much money she needs to make a purchase and before we go to the cash register.

Thanks for all the hard work in providing a wonderful and informative review. We have never sailed the Dream, but are booked on 2 future sailings. Your review just gets me more excited! :)

Thanks for the GREAT review! We have never sailed on the Dream, but, as my signature lines below show, we are booked twice out of NOLA over the next two years. One of which is during Spring Break, which I was not excited about until reading your review. Now I can't wait! :)

It depends on what you like and the value you place on those things.

For me, cruising with NCL after a few Carnival trips clearly put NCL ahead. But that is only because I don't like eating with strangers at 10 person tables at set times and because the shows were scheduled after 10pm. NCL offered anytime dining and earlier shows.

Over the years, things have changed and Carnival is paying attention. Now that Carnival offers these same features, I am putting Carnival ahead of NCL since they offer more itineraries out of more ports that are within driving distance of north Alabama.

However, NCL suites are considerably more affordable when compared to Carnival.

I will continue to sail both lines.

Thank you for a wonderful review and the time you took to explain everything in detail - and posting the pictures. You mentioned the high cost of photos at the dolphin encounter and having all the dailies. I agree that the price of the photos is high, however, I've come to the conclusion that years later, it's really the photos/videos that allow me to remember and actually relive the experiences. We end up buying all the personalized photos for those 'once in a lifetime' events.

Could you post the dailies? Or, let me know how I could get them?
