  1. Unless this would be a New Years cruise, then kids will all be back in school, and fewer kids onboard. Especially a Princess cruise.

If I am going to give my honest opinion, I would not bring kids onboard a princess ship unless I knew that it was one of those cruises that would have more kids onboard. I am sure that there are supposed to be some kids 'programming'... But, Princess just isn't Carnival. or like the Oasis/Allure ships.

PS: I think poster are referring to The Royal Princess... not RCI cruise line.

Oh, I get it! We always sail the end of January and Carnival always has a ton of kids aboard. Worry though about being the only kids.

  2. Don't be silly! Nobody cares or checks your past criminal history to go a Caribbean cruise! I have been on 7 cruises and nobody has checked me at any time ever getting on or off the ship. The only time you have to show your ID other than your ship card is when you first get on the ship and when you return and go through customs and if you don't have any serious outstanding warrants no one gives a damn. They are not going to stop you from getting on a cruise for outstanding traffic tickets! Enjoy!

  3. Not really finding anything through Carnival that suits our needs. Kids 7-14. And we want to spend some time in the port pool too. Was looking at Ocean World but we get in port at 9:00 and the trip to Ocean World starts at 10:30 and gets back at 2:30. We depart at 4:00. Others have said the excursion lasts 5 hours. We'll be happy to just stay at Port too.

  4. for us, the buffet is not an option, so YTD allows to eat around the shows

As I said earlier we are seated with our group(older kids with families and our elderly parents). I am not going to miss out sitting with them- it's my favorite part of the cruise. I am just curious if it has changed on this ship where we could see the shows also. Nothing more nothing less. I am not mad at Carnival or anyone. I enjoy my cruises!

  5. We were on a 7 day, and the shows were:

    Flick on Sunday night

    Country Road on Tuesday night

    88 Keys on Wednesday night

    America Rocks on Friday night

They also had Hasbro Game Show on Monday and Thursday, which we did not attend. They are at 7:30 only.

This was my experience as well but we only had three of those shows and they all were between the dinner times. When were you on it??

  6. We have been accustomed to eating late dinner with our traveling companions and family. Really is one of our major highlights of the cruise for us. Also our kids are all finally old enough to enjoy the shows too( not talking comedy show but rather the big show in the main theater)Hate to trade off one for the other but it is what it is. We do the late dinner so me,wife and three kids all have time to get ready after we get back on ship after a day at beach or whatever. Three women using the bathroom in our room takes a while lol.

  7. I was on the Magic in February 2017 and the dinner times and show times did not gel. They only did one big show a night and it was between early and late dining so you had to skip the main dining room to see the shows. And only a couple of nights had big productions. Was on the Sunshine the cruise before this one and they had two showings each night that fit early and late dining. Booked on the Magic again in January of 2018. Was hoping to hear they got the shows and dinner working together now. Thanks!

  8. I am wondering if everyone that is not have excursions showing up are going to be stopping at Cozumel? They are adding excursions for Cozumel and maybe they at waiting to have that set up before they add excursions? The last four we went on had excursions listed way ahead of time.

From what I hear the FTTF's are put on sale depending on how many diamond and platinum members are going to be on the ship.
