Looking at booking a balcony cabin on C deck on Azura. The cabin is marked as having two Pullman upper berths. How intrusive are these in the cabin, do they go into the ceiling or hinged on the wall?
If anyone has any pictures it would be greatly appreciated
thank you

Recently had some free wifi on Diamond due to moving up a loyality tier. Have to say I was quite surprised how well it worked, seemed to connect to FB etc whenever I tried and made a couple of whatsapp calls back to the UK without any trouble. We were D deck midship if position makes any difference. Have to say I wouldn't pay for it as you can always find free wifi somewhere in port, but it was a nice extra.

Thank you for the replies

I have already purchased some OBC if there is any left at the end, do they refund it to you ?

Thanks for the replies, it is Sunday 28th we will be getting off the ship. Car rental was done through the airline (Air Transat) they were aware we are on a cruise prior to the rental but that is the pick up point they gave us, guess might be worth giving them a ring to see if they can change it.

We are shortly on the Alaska cruise on Infinity. When we get back to Vancouver on the Sunday morning we need to get to the Hertz rental office in Granville Street. How easy is it to pick up a taxi at the terminal, I guess the earlier we are off the ship the easier it will be. Is it possible to pre-book a taxi ?

I was on the same cruise. There was only 1 chic night and it was on the 2nd night of the cruise.
Thank you

We are on this cruise in just under 3 weeks, how many 'chic' nights are there 1 or 2? Trying to think what to pack.

There is a group of us thinking of booking a 7 night Alaska cruise next summer out of Vancouver. I thought I read somewhere that the Alaska cruises are fairly casual, so would this cruise include a formal night ?
I am pretty sure the answer to this will be no, but would trainers be accepted in the main dining room on any night ? Just thinking of our luggage allowances.
TIA

We boarded the Silhouette on the 29th May at Venice, our flight go in around lunch time so again it was around 1.30 ish that we boarded and no queues.

Just back from 12 nights on the Silhouette, our first time with Select dining. Worked well for us and generally arrived in the restaurant between 7 and 7.30 Never had to wait for a table, but then we were always quite happy to share, although we had a table for 2 on a few occasions.

SHIP: Silhouette
CABIN #: 8271
DECK #: 8
CLASS: 1B
AREA: Centre Hump
BED NEAR: Bathroom
QUIET?: Yes
BALCONY VIEW: Excellent
BALCONY SIZE: Good
WIND A PROBLEM?: No
SOOT A PROBLEM?: No
PROBLEMS/COMMENTS
Excellent position close to the Hideaway, handing for popping down one floor for a tea or coffee. From reading reviews thought we may have part of the balcony glass obscured by the 'X' but the Silhouette does not have one across the balconies.

Slightly concerned reading through this thread, just packing for our first Celebrity cruise in the Med, having only sailed with P&O before. Hubby has a black suit, couple of dress shirts and bow tie, will he feel overdressed in this or should I also pack plain white shirt and tie ??

I will be cruising the Baltics with my Wife and will be in St. Petersburg in late May.
We have been recommended to use DENRUS for the 2-day excursion in St. Petersburg as they have smaller tour-groups and reasonable prices with excellent guides.
I see there is a thread running from 2007 about difficulties getting off ships (Celebrity) using "external" excursions like Denrus and I'm wondering if anyone has more recent experience of this especially using Denrus from a P&O ship in St. Petersburg? Thanks for any advice.
We were on P&O Arcadia last year in St Petersburg, didn't use Denrus but another company, SPB, and had no trouble getting off the ship. We went down to the exit area as soon as it was open and got straight off and through Russian immigration very quickly.

We went on the fishing village trip when we were in Honningsvag the year before last. Enjoyed the trip the villages were quite pretty but we were also very lucky with the weather, blue skies and warm sunshine.
