  1. Lyn, thanks for the response and this review was meant to show Princess to X cruisers and vice versa so that's pleasing that your curiosity is piqued.

Which PCL reviews did you read by the way? I'm just curious.

    I'm glad you're enjoying!

Norris--I read your Emerald and Ruby Princess reviews. I'll be reading some of the others when I get some alone time at the computer.

  2. I have 2 Celebrity cruises under my belt and another one booked. I have loved my X experiences so far, but have been curious about some of the other lines, Princess in particular. Followed your Celebrity review, and went back and read a couple of your Princess reviews. Am really looking forward to your comparison. And I love your sense of humor!

  3. Lyn- a good place to start would be to read any of my Princess reviews as I "tell it like it is" and on Princess that's mostly good. There are 8 to choose from. Don't start with the Emerald one (most recent) as it is a giant read. Try Ruby Princess from last January-much shorter. Or Diamond Princess to Alaska-my favorite Princess ship.

I will do a PCL/X comparison after I finish this review but that will be over on the Princess Board.

    Thanks--I will check them out!

  4. Hi Norris--Glad I found your review. I am having cruise withdrawal as our next one isn't scheduled til this time next year. So am looking forward to cruising vicariously by reading your review of the Silhouette. I will also be interested in hearing your comparison to Princess. My husband and I have done only two cruises, one on the Silhouette and the second on the Equinox. He has been so pleased with those, he is reluctant to try any others. But I am open to other cruise lines and would like to try a variety. Looking forward to your review!

  5. Oh boy! Another Gambee review! Your review couldn't have come at a better time for me. I am having cruise withdrawal, as I don't have anything planned for this year or next. So I will be cruising with you through this review. Seriously, love all the pictures and narratives, and always value your observations. Thanks for taking the time to post all this; I can only imagine all the work that it takes. And like some other of your followers, it is good to finally see you in a picture. You are as cute as I thought you would be.

  6. The DoubleTree at Sunrise is very convenient to the Sawgrass Mills shopping center, and we thought it was just fine and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Hubby suggested staying there again pre-cruise as we did last year, but I opted for a place on the beach this time. I am thinking that they even run a shuttle back and forth to the mall. (We drove down so didn't need a shuttle.) Be sure to pack your walking shoes for the mall--it is huge. Have fun!

  7. I have about ten various size toiletry bags that I have collected over the years. After I have determined what make-up and stuff I will be taking, I choose which bags will work. If I was starting from scratch, I would be getting these.

I like the different sized zippered compartments.

I have seen these on HSN a bunch of times and been very tempted to order. Glad I didn't. I saw one at Bed Bath and Beyond this afternoon, and I really didn't like the "fabric" that they were made out of. It felt really plasticie. I still really like the idea of these bags, but would want the other surface made out of something else.

  8. Where do you buy Poo Pourri? Never heard of it.

You can get it from QVC, amazon, and I have seen it at some surprising places as well--my local bookstore carries it (reading room accessory?) as well as a local resturant that also has a gift shop. It is a funny product, and I initially bought it as a gag gift for my son, but it works. And in the small, unventilated confines of a tiny cruise ship bathroom.........well, it works really well.
